    Successful Meetups

    --------------------------------------------------------------
    Silesian Meetup

Not a bad group right there!

Have part of their copy paste, it's a bit too long otherwise:
Another month, another meet! In spite of a freak invasion of a Siberian-scale freeze, 17 bronies/pegasisters from all over Silesia got together to celebrate and share their My Little Pony love on the fourth of February. It all started out pretty regularly, with a swift raiding of the local supermarket and toy store with ponies in mind. A nice lady was nice and pulled out a handful of blindbags from under the counter (a lucky dude purchased a Rarity), and one of the attendees went for the brushable Twinkleshine to compliment his blindbag score from the prior meet. Thus, he was quickly rechristened to Champion of Twinkleshine.

    --------------------------------------------------------------
    SCAD Meetup

    Copy Paste:

Hello, my name's John Markel. I'm one of the founding members of the
newly-created Brony club at he Savannah College of Art and Design in
Savannah, GA. I noticed that Savannah Bronies (a meetup I attended) got a feature on the site in a meetup section and I figure I'd submit our meetup party we just threw for our members.

    --------------------------------------------------------------
    Colorado Brony Meetup

    Copy Paste:

On February 12, the Colorado Bronies invaded Wyoming! We tried to raid them for their little ponies, but alas, somepony else already had! Afterwards, we ate at pizza hut and took this amazing picture in front of the capital building.

    --------------------------------------------------------------
    DC Meetup

    Copy Paste:
February may be the shortest month, but it's got the most Bronies in it!  Over 50 of the DC Bronies' hearts and hooves were in the right place this Saturday at our monthly meetup.  We revisited our childhood and decorated bags ready to be filled with warm and fuzzy thoughts and yummy candy.  One of our resident artists made customized valentines for everypony that were just awesome!  Much to her chagrin, Rainbow Dash did dress in style for a raffle of the Mane 6 Fashion Style Ponies.  And we discovered that the best accompaniment for Cider (Cider!, Cider!, Cider!) whether apple or sparkling is Chimmy-Cherry-Changas.  After ingesting sufficient amounts of sugar, both from the chocolates and getting our monthly allowance of D'awww from the episode, we headed off to a nearby mall to raid the arcade where a rousing tournament of air hockey ensued.  All in all, the DC Bronies had an awesome Hearts & Hooves Day!
Check out pictures of the awesome valentines bags, clever valentines and drool over the Chimmy-Cherry-Changas at our meetup photobook here (http://www.meetup.com/Bronies-DC/photos/5967582/).

    --------------------------------------------------------------
    Texas Meetup

Copy Paste (Same deal as before, a bit too long!):
It all started with the group gathering near the entrance at about 5PM-ish, and from there, we started the events for the night with laser tag! We divided into two teams: The Solar Empire, and The New Lunar Republic (of course), and had fun sniping, shooting, and raiding each others bases for a good few minutes. Fun was had by all! The final score was 79,870 for The Solar Empire, and 101,970 for The New Lunar Republic. There Luna, that's how many points you receive!

    Hoosier Hooves Society Meetup

    Copy Paste:
So today (Sunday) The bronies of Indiana met up, our escapades brought the attention of many. We saw some twilight with twilight (and took her away from there). And had a great time.

    Malaysian Bronies

    Copypaste:

"The Malaysian Bronies Society (MBS) held its 5th meetup and first Artjam
successfully in Starbucks Coffee, The Gardens shopping mall. A fair number
of artists & musicians turned up and together they shared their talents &
works with the rest of the group; awesome fun times were had by all."

     Chicago Meetup

    Copy Paste:

    Chicago/Suburb Area Meetup!
It was at the Colonial Cafe on February 5th! At 5o'clock, there were 5 people. At 8:30, there were 41. Some people even left early! We had sing-alongs and artists showed off their art! People ate icecream, and I'm pretty sure the waitress was pleased by the mound of cash left on the table when we left at 9pm.
The most amazing part was that we got the party room even though we didn't make a reservation!
    --------------------------------------------------------------
They didn't say where they met up!

    Copy Paste:

Was a huge success and had a great time. We were served by a fellow pegasister who goes by Rarity. We watched the new episode, played pony trivia, watched some awesome pmvs, and when we were leaving a random little girl said "I like your My Little Ponies!" making this day 20% more awesome.

    2. Wait, what? Did you forget the austrian meetup? Or is it going to be mentioned in the next roundup?

    3. It's great to see so many meet ups. To bad I always miss the ones around my area.

      ReplyDelete
    4. >This is not a meetup
Gets put in meetup section. -_-

      ReplyDelete
    5. I'm especially impressed to see the Malaysian brony meetup. Here in Pacific Asia, around Singapore and whatnot, there aren't too many bronies. We're kind of a rare breed, and it gets a tad depressing.

      ReplyDelete
    6. "Big Macintosh Filly"
They do know fillies are female, right?

      ReplyDelete
    7. we are having one, where do we sent the invites? xD in mexico LOL

    8. I'm kinda annoyed, I've been looking for a meetup in Indiana for months and havn't seen a thing about it.

    9. "17 bronies/pegasisters from all over Silesia got together to celebrate and share their My Little Pony love on the fourth of February."

The fourth of February was a Saturday. In Silesia. This is just too easy, so I'll restrict myself to one wiseass comment:

Well, those certainly look like rational youth.

    10. Talk about getting hit with waves of awesome. Awesome media, plenty of successful meetups, and plenty of merchandise up for grabs. Hope a meetup pops up in my area sometime soon. Internet's nice, but I don't think you can beat actually being around people.

    11. I'm impressed by the Doctor Whooves thing on Celestial radio. The voices soundedmpretty good! it must be hard trying to find good voicemactorsmthat sound really similar. Going tom keep my eye out for thismone, I only hope there a good writing team or something behind this to make it REALLY good :)
This community is so creative xD

    12. 10 meetups? The fansplosion is reaching ever greater heights!

Our own Spokane meetup went from most of us thinking we were alone in our area (or isolated to that one awesome high school) at the beginning of the year to nearly 30 people showing up for laser tag this weekend. And then the laser tag employees joined our group and now we have 40 members in just over one month. SO MANY BRONIES EVERYWHERE.

So, for those wondering if you're alone or sad that you don't have a meetup group, take it from us: start one up yourself and your mind will be blown away by how many other fans come out of the woodwork.

    13. Hey Seth, I think the Pinkie Pie Swear interviews deserve their own post. Just my thoughts about them.

    14. what is jamie hyneman from myth busters doing at the texas meet up?

      ReplyDelete
    15. A meetup in Bozemon!? We live 20 miles away!!!!
We have no facebook so we can't see any of the information. :(

      Lots of merch tonight.

    16. The Brave Adventurers video reminds me of Brodyquest, Chickenquest, etc. :P Can't believe I didn't think of it too. It was so obvious!

Long PinkiePieSwear interview. And everyone seems to use FL Studio. lol Not many Bronies seem to use Pro Tools much. Though Pro Tools might be a bit harder to use for some than FL Studio I guess.

So. Many. Meetups. Remember when there used to only be two or three, maybe, in the Nightly Roundups? What was that... two months ago? lol

      Lots o merch tonight too.

      ReplyDelete
    17. Brave Adventurers was random, but made me smile all the same :) And I love PinkiePieSwear! I hope he keeps putting out more great music.

Holy cow, Doctor Whooves Adventures looks EPIC! 0_0 I'll definitely have to check that out when it's released.

I'm glad to see more and more successful meetups happening every time. It's great that this is spreading everywhere, and so fast!

      Great roundup tonight :)

      ReplyDelete
    24. I can't believe they didn't say where they met up!

      ReplyDelete
    25. FYI Silesia's part of Poland, it isn't a country so don't try to find it on the Globe ;)

      ReplyDelete
    26. Another Dr. Who parody? Decent voice acting; could be good.

...Hasbro/Hub/Studio B should work together with whichever company produces Dr.Who to make an official parody episode thing if they get the chance. It would be EPIC!!

      ReplyDelete
    27. Alot of stuff tonight. And were coming close to 120 mil views.

Also I guess anyone that missed the We Heart Mare-a-ton, can watch it again on the Hub on Tues at a more decent(atleast for the West Coast) hour.

      ReplyDelete
    28. Anypony else think "Brodyquest" while watching Brave Adventures? =P

      ReplyDelete
    29. Doctor Whooves radio show?
      ALLONS Y!!!!

      ReplyDelete
    30. @Mike

If Hasbro and BBC teamed up...

My mind can't even comprehend the possibilities. Children's shows + British humour = Win. To the power of win.

    31. The last meet up was in El Paso Tx,

    32. Texas Meetup - guy up front in purple running shoes - right foot. If you stare at it for a while, looks more n' more unnatural.

      ReplyDelete
    33. Go DC meetup! I'm the girl above Pikachu's left ear (if you're just facing the picture). It was definitely amazing, you guys were great!

      ReplyDelete
    34. Just a note, that Kansas City Minecraft server is open to anybody, not just folks from KC. So if you've been looking for a server feel free to join us.

      ReplyDelete
    35. Hey, all. I'm the guy that took the pics for the Texas Meet-Up. Yes, the guy that looks like Jamie knows he does, and has a beret just for that purpose. I talked to him at length at a previous meet-up about it. He's quite amused at the resemblance.

That pic doesn't even show half of the people who did show, as some of them had to leave early. There was 30 bronies that were there overall, including at least one brony that was there for unrelated reasons, and didn't realize we were meeting up there.

Just for the FYI, I was on Team New Lunar Republic. Go Luna!

      ReplyDelete
    36. Crazy Malaysians.

      WHERE ARE YOU INDONESIANS?????

      ReplyDelete
    37. Whoa, in the picture of the Texas meetup, the guy on the far left, wearing the beret, looks like Jamie Hyneman, (The guy from Mythbusters).

      ReplyDelete
    38. California Y U NO have meetups? Well not that I know of

      ReplyDelete
    39. Where would one find info for the Colorado bronies?

And seriously, don't just say 'Google it!'. I'd prefer to not have to obsessively Google it for hours- or even google it at all.
What I mean, is, does anypony have a link to it? Please?

      ReplyDelete
    40. "a random little girl said 'I like your My Little Ponies!"

It makes me wonder what the little girls think of the bronies, if they know about them at all. I have a younger cousin (though she's about to enter the preteen years, so she might be too old to be the target audience anymore), and I wonder what she would think if she knew that her 24 year old male cousin watched My Little Pony?

      ReplyDelete
    41. Woohoo DC Meet up... Eh?
My legs look dysfunctional in that picture lol.

      ReplyDelete
    42. SCAD has a Brony group?! :'D

AWESOME! I'm going there next year! And as someone who lives in the Caribbean, I don't get to meet a lot of other bronies unless I convert someone into one! XD

      ReplyDelete
    43. What, a meetup in Illinois for once and I miss it?!

      ReplyDelete
    44. I need to pay attention to these roundups more often, Totally missed that Brony meet-up within 50 miles of me :(

      ReplyDelete
    45. I agree, zac. Why are all these Indiana bronies in the stable? Where is a web page so we can join the fun?
