Ponykart Seeking Some Help!
It looks like Ponykart has some positions open! Their applications close at 6:00 PM GMT0, so make sure you check out the site and decide on something quick if you have the skills to sneak in!
Have some openings:
- Environment concept artist - someone who can do quick fast colour sketches of environments to help "fill in" tracks and give more ideas on the general "feel" of tracks, with landmarks and stuff
- Texture artist - someone with skill in painting textures wrapped on 3D models. We've got a whole bunch of modelers already, but short on people who can make good textures for them!
- Scenery/environment vector artist - we don't need vectors of ponies, but we frequently use vector art in props and the environment, and we'd like another person to help with this! You'll also be making art for the far-off background scenery.

I thought that Space Stallions animation was a cartoon from the late 70's or 80's at first. lol But it's actually from an animation workshop group. Pretty good. Not to mention that keyboard sword was pretty badass too.

Haha, I absolutely loved CR's review of The Super Speedy Cider 6000 episode. Hilarious and he makes good sense in most parts. And it seems he may be doing this for all episodes from now on. Awesome. They better be in the Nightly Roundups! :P

Hell, after a few seconds of it, I thought it was some incredibly epic obscure 80s show that never got off the ground, but then I noticed the resolution quality was too good to be an 80s show.
I do have to give the workshop credit, though. They hit every single 80s action cartoon trope known to man with that video.

Okay, I saw references to He-Man, Galaxy Rangers, Flash Gordon, Thundercats, Silver Hawks, and Battle of the Planets. My only question is: What? No love for Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors?
Seriously though, it took me a moment before I realized what the hell they were doing. The problem is that I was there when the original cartoons came out, and to this day I have little nostalgia for the crapfests that were Thundercats and Silverhawks. Believe me when I say that American cartoons today are WAY better than they were in the 80's.
Did it really take "derpy" to show you some of the best things in life? :-P
