More Pony Cakes at Wal-Mart

 It looks like  Wal-Mart is starting to expand it's cake selection for pony.  While we have had the barnyard set for a while now, this cupcake pile, Applejack mini-cake, and the one in the 3rd image with the blue background appear to be new.

Real bronies sculpt their own giant Rainbow Dash cake models though.  Don't wuss out on me!

Thanks to Lonewolf for the cake images!

Commercial pony cakes? So Wal-mart is catching on?

Old? I got the first one for my Sweet 16

No_Brand_Hero said...

There's some irony in Pinkie Pie being baked into a cupcake there...

MyBoyJ said...

@No_Brand_Hero

Yeah, and Pinkie Pie's head right next to the word "Cupcakes" is somewhat disturbing.

Sothalic said...

A cake made of... cupcakes? Wow, that's interesting, never seen anything like it before.

My Wal-Mart doesn't have a bakery. :( Then again, I doubt my parents would be cool with a Pony cake anyway. :( :(

McStalins said...

I'm trying to push money in the display, but it doesn't work somehow!

@No_Brand_Hero
Ya some irony
I didn't do it...

ohyea, the cupcake cake, seen one before, was too hot outside, so frosting kinda oozed off the sides, a real cake is better. needs to be more RD tho, or maybe a derpy shaped cake

Shantara said...

Does it mean I have to eat ponies? Ugh... No, thanks!

SaharaxMyst said...

I know what cake I'm asking for for my seventeenth. :>

ndrazzar said...

So this means the cake is not a lie anymore?
YES

Yay my birthday is coming up.... Now how to convince my parents to give me a pony cake without sounding weird

Madcat said...

Pretty cool. Homemade cakes are much more awesome though. Just... in general. Much tastier. But not everyone is gifted with enough artistic talent to make a great PonyCake.

I want some poundcake.

Akirasip said...

Pity there's no Wal-Mart in east Europe, or else i could buy these cakes :3

These look pretty cool. So want them but alas I live in the UK.

ClosetBrony said...

I've been in my local Wal-mart Marketplace several times and haven't any of these. Guess the grocery store only stores don't carry them.

Select Few said...

Our Wal-mart here only has a few pony things, so I doubt they'll get these.
But, I can still look!

vulpix said...

Have I just been enchanted with the "want it, need it" spell?

I've had the barn and the cupcake rings for a while now. That Pinkie Pie thing is a plastic wearable ring, or at least the ones I have are. There is a second set that features other ponies as well... I want to sa at least Twilight and Applejack are featured. The plastic figures are the same as the 5 piece gift set. The barn is cool too, though it's not long... the length is created with cake in the image posted.... that's a lot of cake!

--Pinkie Pie shouts-- "You gonna eat that?!?!" --gobbles barn cake--

I'm a vegan and this depresses me.

I would buy a cake just to get the toys. I would play with the toys and eat delicious cake and all would be well and happy.

I want pony toys and cake now :D
TO WALMART!
...Wait, I forgot. Stores NEVER carry pony stuff for me ;-;

If they come to the UK chain of Wal-Mart -ASDA -then I will be buying Pinkie Pie cupcakes every day.
However they STILL dno't have the blind bags in my closest store. The UK can be really SLooooooooW sometimes.

I dunno, that little green Applejack cake looks good. It's so... green and smooth. And so do the Pinkie cupcakes. Though it doesn't look like the Pinkie's on them are edible. :(

I want the AJ and Twi cake ^_^.

Pinkie IS Best Pony said...

Gawd those look delicious. I haven't had anythin to eat all day

suburbanbanshee said...

I scouted my local Walmart and saw none of these cakes. (Didn't see the cake book but will look for it on a less busy day.)

However, I did see a pink G3! pony on top of a plain sheet cake. So be careful to inquire what pony figurines the bakery actually possesses.

richfiles said...

@Nymo
LOL, I have 5 Aj spoons. They remind me of the McDonalds AJ, but are fully molded and posed more like the blindnbag AJ. moldlines are pretty rudimentary. Still very cool.

Frith said...

Last week they had the first one at a grocery store near me, but on a round cake. I went back today to see if I could get one for Harmony Day (Honesty) but there was nary a pony cake on display. So I bought apple muffins instead.

Templenator said...

I'd feel a bit wrong about eating ponies...

Pecan Crisp said...

You see, I think what would be more disturbing, is if the cupcakes came in every pony but Pinkie Pie.
