(When I first posted this I said "like like Pokemon". Maybe they're REALLY into Pokemon)
I'd like to know why they can't find a way to make the toys look more like the actual show. I get that the toys represent the traditional portrayal that people are used to, but still, i'd actually probably buy some if they looked as awesome as the show's art style.
But maybe that's just me.

Those ones have been in the UK for ages. I have luggage Rarity, Dash and Fluttershy.
So, they strap it to their back leg? Makes sense. Saddle bags seem like a lot less of a hassle.
Oh yes, these are also the ones which are attached to the packaging with sellotape. Yup, sellotape around their manes and tails too.
These ponies are so cool that they have pictures of THEMSELVES on their luggage.

I got one of these for my birthday 8 days ago, I thought they were commonplace. (This is in Nova Scotia, Canada)
My sister got me the fluttershy one of that set. She's 10 and I'm 22... needless to say, BEST GIFT EVER!

These have been out around here for a few weeks now XP I got Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie and Dash. The duck's body feels like it's made of a different plastic, but mabye that's just me.

Yeah, I agree, I'd love to see some show-accurate stuff. Can't be that difficult, I imagine.
Also, the suitcases are cuffed to their hooves... what on earth are they transporting?! Diamonds? Equestrian Missile Codes? Elwood's Harmonica?!

It seems their reasoning is that somehow they think each season is 13 episodes long, so while they're broadcasting episodes 14 - 26 of S1, they think they're broadcasting S2.

@Kinrah If they'd decided split it for DVD release (a la the more recent UK Family Guy DVDs), I'd have chalked it up to cynicism... but there seems to be no direct advantage in calling the new run "Season Two" on telly... I dunno. They probably just ordered a half-series batch or something.

I completely agree with you. Ha ha, you almost get the feeling they had a warehouse full of these left over from the defunct older seasons and just decided to slap them in new packaging.
I don't really care for these, they make even less sense than the older ones with the saddles and carts. Also, I really don't need stickers to go with my plastic ponies. I'll need to pick up Pinkie and Fluttershy to complete my collection of the Mane 6 before they get replaced by these.
I suppose the travel theme with stickers appeals more to the target demographic than us.
On a side note, what am I going to do with the two birds, a dog, and a squirrel that I already got with the four I have?
I haven't actually seen these in my area.
Then again, my shopping has been 'Do they have blindbags on the shelf? No? Come back later', so I can't say I've actually looked.
Are they the same size as the basic toys?

These have been available in Canada for over a month. I picked up some of them a couple of weeks ago.
These have been in Scotland for a little while now.
Recently picked up the Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Twilight Sparkle and Rarity versions of these. (Already had the pet versions of Fluttershy and Applejack.)

Luggage Ponies have been in UK since just before Christmas at least, I'm actually sick of seeing luggage mane 6 toys XD (though still need to get Rarity...)
Seems the luggage is here to stay as part of the main range, as the next wave is new ponies with luggage too. Likely will be that way till the "Wedding" event happens I imagine
All I want is a gorram fashion Applejack. I have ALL THE OTHER fashion ponies and not having a complete set is driving me nuts. Can't find ANYWHERE :(

Eh, these toys are pretty "show-accurate". I don't get why people need to complain about it every single toy thread. Is it just the fact that they got brushable manes? Than style them, it's not that hard. Also, kids like to actually play with their toys. Brushable manes are fun.
Or is it the animals? Frankly i'm glad they mix up the animals. They keep re-releasing the main characters in the same pose. At least you get a different animal with every release.

me and my brother totally picked up the luggage fluttershy and pinkie pie last Friday at my local wal-mart. as well as the talking spike plushy thing that is actually ridiculously adorable.
They are pretty cute, but the animals seem off. Lol Well I supose that flutershy could have all the animals if your setting up a display with her.
yeah i also picked these up about3 weeks ago - but i figured you guys already knew about them XD - being any news i send in seems to be ignored (or its old news) - much like the Pony Valentines - i picked up a glittery set that came with a set of 35 stickers as well - but again never heard anything back from the mods here so i assumed someone else had already sent them in... oh well
these have been spoted over the past week at various wallmarts in oregon....now if only i could find more kiosk ponys!!!

Come Hasbro you need to fix this already. I want buy these two to finish my Mane Six set, but not in their currently incomplete or flawed forms.

I got the Rarity and Twi, put em up on my shelf with my other ponies from past sets (RD, FS , AJ and blossomforth) All I need now is a Pinkie
Why do they all have such random animals? Aside from the hair, they all actually do look really close to their cartoon counterparts. The only ones that the hair really makes a difference to me would be the Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle ponies.
Rainbow Dash with hair longer than her body just looks weird. And Twilight Sparkle needs bangs.
Seriously. She looks so weird without bangs!
And on a related note, it looks like Rarity has a pet Breezy. What happened to Spike? lol.

I think they look as close as a plastic toy can reasonably get. Remember, the toys have to hold up to regular handling by small children, AND be inexpensive. The spindly features of the show ponies would be expensive to produce, and would break easily during rough play. The current toy design is a very nice compromise, and is DEFINITELY a lot leaner than my old G1 ponies.
That said, you can always boil-perm your ponies' manes to look more like the show ponies. :3

Hey, it is Pinkie we are talking about. It would not surprise me. :3 (Also, I am sure you were just teasing, but now that I am thinking about it, Sweetie Belle and Fluttershy also have train cars, so possibly the tickets could be redeemed for ice cream or vet services?)
I find it sad that I didn't recognize that first pony was Twilight until I look at her suitcase.Her color is so bright that I can hardly see her cutie mark.I don't know if it's the lighting but she looks more pink than purple.
They're still cute though.

Seriously, none of these remotely resemble the show's art style at all. Especially the eyes. It's like they're PURPOSEFULLY trying to model them after G3 or something.
If they'd just make them show accurate, they'd get all my money.

Hey, has anyone paid attention to what's actually on the stickers?
Twilight: Stickers of Canterlot and the library. Makes sense, she's related to both of these locations. And then there's Sweet Apple Acre's barn.
Pinkie: Canterlot, Carousel Boutique, and SAA's barn. Again. This character has nothing to do with any of these locations.
Rainbow: More Canterlot and APPLEJACK?!?! Well, there you have it. AppleDash is now canon.
Fluttershy: Canterlot and the barn, again, as well as the library. I guess they can all have Canterlot since it is the capital of their nation, but why does the barn appear so many times?
Rarity: More Canterlot, but at least they were kind enough to give her Carousel - IS THAT APPLEJACK AGAIN?!?!
Applejack: WHY DID THEY PUT HER BARN ON NEARLY EVERY CHARACTER'S SHEET EXCEPT FOR THE PONY IT ACTUALLY BELONGS TO?
I may get the AJ just for the pink Turtwig, not sure about Fluttershy with the Siamese Chipmunks.

He has made kits that you can use on your ponies to replace the brush-able hair. They are sculpted, and look exactly like the show style.
