the annoying thing is they freak out about that one display and then we see bearly much of the rest of the display. But I suppose that could mean there are more ponies to come before the fall wave arrives? (That or Lyra/Heartstrings is part of another wave, not impossible considering she already exists as a blind bag pony and that and the toyline seem to intersect a bit...)

Somehow, I doubt they're going to change what Celestia says.
She needs some lines from the show, like saying "my little ponies", or "hello Twilight Sparkle, and hello to your friends too", or "You'll never get away with this, Discord!", but that would probably require them to make a Discord toy, hint hint.

See, this one line is what I like about this.
The filmer asks: How did this set come about.
And the woman running the display says: "Feedback from Fans."
The fact that both Hasbro and Studio B take direct feedback from the bronies and turn it into show appearances and toys... that's one of the things that makes this fandom so unlike all the others.
Dude, those people at the pony booth: it seems they KNOW THEIR STUFF:
1-Welovefine tees
2-Responded 'Oh yeah, definately' when that dude was talking about shout-outs
3-Knew about the goings-on at the MLP:FIM facebook page
4-Said something about'feedback from the fans' (maybe a little ambiguous whether Bronies or the original intended target audience; but perhaps it's both)
A clear sign of good collaboration, organization, and networking on the business side of things... perhaps I will invest in Hasbro... Next stop: market research!
I think Nightmare Moon is probably the first villain toy that Hasbro has ever made for MLP, at least that's what I got from CR's retrospective.

I had wondered if the reason they were introducing Cadance as a pink Alicorn was because there was plans to make the Celestia toys white. That seems confirmed now. I'm very happy.
Gotta get that $35 set...only problem is...it's gonna be hard to make sure that each one is free of imperfections...that's what I hate about sets...only 1/5 of the Celestia/Luna sets I found had them both in perfect quality.
I'll have to wait for the episode/special to air before I know if I'm interested in all the Shining Armor and Princess Cadence stuff, but OMG everything else will be going straight in my shopping cart come Fall. I just hope they make Bon Bon for Lyra and that they use their fan names (or real names in Trixie's case. It would be downright ridiculous if they named her Lulamoon just because they don't want to trademark another name.)

I got a pink Celestia for my birthay and painted it pearl, I think it looks nicer than the flat white one here, but still I could have saved so much time and effort.

Did anyone get a look at the Pinkie Pie ornament? In the photo set linked to in MyLittlePonyNews, I could barely make out that it was a Pinkie Pie ornament next to the Baby Spike automatron, not enough to see if it was different from the one from last Christmas. Seems that Hasbro makes a Pinkie Pie ornament every year!
