You know what I haven't gotten to do in a while? A full-on post with nothing but Rarity in it. And now I have a legitimate excuse to do so.
Ahem.
The Fighting is Magic team has released several pieces of Rarity-related news that you should all be interested in. Firstly, her stage music has been released, and it's just about as awesome as you'd expect the best pony's music to be. You can find that embedded after the break.
As a small addendum to that bit of best pony news, Rarity's voice actress for the game has also been chosen. She goes by the name of Hnilmik, and I must say, she does an excellent job capturing the character of the best pony. You can also find her audition after the break, and the announcement post from Mane 6 here.
Lastly, the team will be hosting a livestream on Tuesday, February 21, at 8pm EST. The developers and a few people from their internal QA testing program will be playing a few matches, showing the game's progress, and talking about the behind-the-scenes development process. You can find more information on that stream, including an FAQ, here.

I find it interesting that you choose to use "an" with FAQ. I've always pronounced it as a word ("fack"), rather than pronounce each letter ("eff ay queue").

FANTASTIC VA for her!
The audition was flawless. A good VA for the game no doubt. The theme song isn't bad, it certainly fits Rarity. But as personal taste goes I still prefer the Twilight and AJ themes just a bit more.

They say they'll release it when done with the mane 6.
AJ has programming, animation, VA, stage, and music. Twilight has all that as well.
Rarity now has everything except possibly some animation. The livestream hopefully will reveal more.
Pinkie's got some programming and animation done, and has a VA, but no music or stage.
And the two pegasi are still in the early stages I think.
So I'm guessing we're about 65-70% of the way there now.
Rarity is best pony, no doubt. I still like Applejack's theme the best though.

Good theme but its missing subtle moments that would make it a fighting theme.
I always worry about Rarity, almost as much as Fluttershy, even though Fluttershy it's more obvious why. I always feel like nopony will treat Rarity as fancy as she deserves. And again with the ninja sword ad banner. Are these ponies preparing to conquer everything? Oh wait, they already have!
I can't wait to for this game to come out it. Did check out the rainbow dash theme created by Rainbowcrash88 himself, this was on the brony show. It's only 36 seconds but if 36 seconds needed to be 20% then here is your answer!

Rarity is best pony.
Rarity's theme is a bit too "trance genre" for my tastes. The voice acting is excellent, if a bit squeaky at times.
That stage music was not what I was expecting, like at all. I was expecting something with more of an Art of the Dress motif to it, and while I've been told it's there, I'm still personally finding it hard to catch. Oh well, it's not bad, I'll just have to give it some time to see if it grows on me, but as of right now this is by far my least favorite stage music, which disappoints me so very much.
The VA, however, now she is quite spot on. Simply fabulous darling.
Quite a good actor, I'd like to see some gameplay of her though, and yes Rarity IS best pony

The trance seemed a bit to 'tech' sounding in the synths to be rarity's music style. Perhaps something with more chromatic percussion would be her style. Music that sparkles like gemstones instead of sounding like sin-waves and oscilloscopes.
Oh, and Dainty Dish is being best pony. Mikoyan said so himself.

Rarity's is not bad - far from it, but it definitely did not give me the "WOW" like Applejack and Twilight's did.

I guess she sounds acceptable. I'll still turn off the voices if it's an option, though; I'm a massive perfectionist when it comes to these things. The music is fine, but I like the other 2 themes better. Anyway, I'm glad to see Fighting is Magic get one step closer to completion!
