Time for some Spike and World building! Synopsis after the break.
Episode: Dragon Quest
Air Date: March 17, 2012)
Synopsis: Spike joins the Great Dragon Migration to discover his true identity, but it might not be what he really needs.
It would be a nice change of pace if it totally focused on Spike, in an independent setting. :D Not that I dislike Mane 6 episodes, but it'd be great to see Spike get some character development all on his own!
I really hope this ep has a impactful Spike-Twilight scene. I mean it's a kids show blah blah blah, but they can put in one semi-emotional scene. I mean it's all going to turn out ok in the end.
@Flutterfan I agree with you, I'd love to see this series do that. Batman tAS has done stuff like that a couple times (Two Face and Baby Doll). Don't see why FiM should not.
It could happen. This does sound like it could be one of the most dramatic episodes of the series. We might need to get a box of Kleenex tissues for this one. :P
LOL... I read this and it made me think of the winged Celestial race from Dragon Quest 9. Just cuz the word and all made me think of Celestia... I've learned to live by the following philosophy...
A: The next Pony episode will rock
B: Trying to pick a favorite Pony episode is as futile as a 1960s era TV or movie "computer" trying to solve a paradox question.
There was an episode of the older mlps, not sure which gen but it had a very similar synopsis. Spike going off to find 'real dragons' who actually just turned out to be bullies.

Note to self: Get a mod for Dragon Quest to turn the second to last boss to Spike.
ReplyDeleteMy, my. So many assumptions based on a 20-word synopsis and what could quite possibly be a working title.
ReplyDeleteOOOH! Nice followup from his previous issue with Greed Growth!

ReplyDeleteThis... should be problematic. I can already see some of the earth-shattering things.
Or, it could be better than sliced bread... or both.
i hope the name of the dragons' destination is Zenithia ;)
ReplyDeleteWhoa, sounds deep.
ReplyDeleteI must say, I love the past two Spike episodes! This one can't let me down.
I look foward to seeing more types of dragons, and hopefully a new local.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if the episode will be all about spike or alternate between the migration scenes and how the mane 6 are getting along without him.
@Toxic-Mario Oh I hope. That would be awesome. Some RPG base themes could be good to.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Can't wait to see this!

ReplyDeleteSooo... a re-hashing of a similar Spike episode from the original show? inb4 Spike doesn't like what big jerks other dragons are.
ReplyDeleteAt this rate there'll be no Fluttershy episode. D:
ReplyDelete@TheMarioMan1 You're forgetting the March 3 episode. She will get the spotlight for the next new episode.
ReplyDeleteAn episode called Dragon Quest? That features Spike rather than the ponies? I may be able to get my brother to watch this one!!
ReplyDeleteI bet it will resemble nothing anyone has said and be a completely innocuous episode.
ReplyDeleteEither that or we all get our minds blown to the outer reaches of Equestria.
Dragon Quest..ahh, Dragon Quest 8, twas such a fun game..Now we get an episode named Dragon Quest. Awesome. :D
