Strangely enough, Derpy and Pinkie's outrage were the two things I didn't like about last episode.
Well "didn't like" is perhaps too strong. I really don't care one way or the other about derpy. And pinkie's outrage just made me raise an eyebrow, not laugh.
But the rest of Last Roundup? Goddamn awesome. Best episode of the series so far, in no small part to Applejack being awesome.
Beat it, episode with a really long name I don't want to type out. I dare you. Give us a badass Applejack.

anyway the apple will lose at first, (the machine will do more cider than the apple family) but with a twist f event people realize that the machine made really crappy cider, and the flim flam brothers are blamed for this. Then the apples get their farm back by helping the flim flam brother in exchange.

Nah, what'll happen is that they both will make a lot of cider, but the machine can't keep up the furious pace, and will explode.
I wish they didn't have a Applejack episode right after a Applejack episode. Granted the last episode wasn't that focused on Applejack but still. Same with Best Pet Win and Maredowell.

Doctor Whoof appears with the TARDIS, which opens to reveal Octavia and Vinyl Scratch come out singing a wicked ballad!

Only For Discord to appear and make it Rain Chochlate Milk everywhere! It rains so much, Pip is able to sail by in a homemade ship with Princess Luna!
AJ, now truly annoyed, goes to speak for the third time...
But Psycho Twilight, Pinkamena, and Berserker Fluttershy crash into the scene, chasing a sunglasses wearing RD and Big Mac(who is busy speaking using four or five syllable words). The whole things upsets Rarity and makes her swoon onto her fainting couch as she proclaims
"This is the WORST. POSSIBLE. THING." and passes out, prompting the CMC and Zecora to try and help her!
AJ at that points decides, "Aw Buck It." and goes home. End of Episode.
I'm really hoping Applejack is the one to do something awesome to save the day! Apple Bloom--my favorite CMC--has seen much of the spotlight already, Granny Smith already had her shining moment, and Big Macintosh will have his own episode coming up.
I'm really really REALLY hoping AJ has her shining moment.
I'll still enjoy this episode no matter what, like I always do. But I'm still holding onto a very faint glimmer of hope...

I'm half-expecting a reappearance of Vinyl Scratch/DJ P0n-3, but I'm expecting her toward the very end of the season or in the season finale. I mean, it would be cool to see her again. Though who knows! :)

I thought AJ got pulled off the last episode pretty well to be honest. Looking forward to this though.

Honestly, I could see this episode going many ways. At heart, it sounds like a John Henry kind of thing, mare against machine. The name of the brothers suggest a con is going on, and so it could be that while the Apple family competes honestly, the Brothers are cheating... If that's the case, then it could be that one of the other Mane characters is the star, investigating and exposing the con while the Apples making cider is more of a background thing. It could have all or none of the other mane characters. It could have an all-Apple family song.
I guess I'll find out in a few hours.

Applejack was never outshined, certain people just obsess too much over minor things. In The Last Roundup Applejack was the center of attention, so it's the fanbase who made Derpy steal the spotlight and not the episode in general.
I hope today's episode will be a great one and will have less distractions to the fanbase so they can see how much better Applejack is than they give her credit for. Only thing, it says it's Apple Family but I still hope it's more of an Applejack one.
Don't get me wrong, I love Derpy and she's my favourite BG pony. But obsessing that much over a 2 minute scene and voice role is a bit ridicilous, let's hope Derpy will get her own episode sometimes then obsessing over her would make more sense.
I hope she's the main focus, still needs her own sing damnit! More AJ love.

Applejack 90%- This has got to be her episode, also apple cider is not alcoholic unless you make it that way.
Big Mac 40%- Expect something from him, the apples are usually seen together.
Hi-tech Machinery 25%- an apple cider maker can't do everything that some ponies can do by hoof.
Save the farm episode 99%- one percent resonable doubt, but it's always farming with Applejack. She needs more unusual hobbies.
Evil actually appearing in the episode 50%- this show doesn't have too many villains, but I'm expecting some new characters to have caused some kind of crisis.
Apples 100%- Also the mention of good tasting cider coming from Applejacks side whereas the machine doesn't create good tasting cider.(If it's this plot type I might scream, but apples are comfirmed.)
Carrot Cider- Is that even possible?
Something very destructive happens 80%- Come on, its the ponies for crying out loud and they destroy something almost every episode. (dams, barrels, factories, buidings and it's any wonder why we aren't expecting it this time when breakable machinery is involved)
Learning something about Applejack that's special 68%- The math I did on this one shows that Applejack hardly has any real activity outside banjo playing or anything related to Apples.
Something Special 45%- If it comes true I'll say something about it, but it involves something to do with a ponies eating habits.
Okay, I haven't watched the episode yet (later), but if there's something I really need to complain about, is that fact that we've already had about 5 or 6 Apple episodes now! Can we have someone different for 5 episodes?

I would love to see Apple Jack go psycho soon and of her own accord. Her brain washing by Discord was an interesting and unerring manipulation of her truth element, but she needs a story line where perhaps telling the truth isn't always the best course of action.
I'm sure it won't be this episode, but a pony can always hope, no? In the mean time, I could write a Rainbow Factory esque fanfic to tide myself and others over. I already have a story thought up. I just have to type it. Anyone interested in reading?

I never once thought AJ was ever upstaged in any episode focusing on her. Us Bronies have a knack at being really obsessive over the slightest thing. I'm a fan of Derpy and I acknowledge her significance, but all the hub-bub around her 2 minute scene is a bit whacky.
It's all god though. AJ is my favorite pony, and as long as she's on the screen, I'll be happy.

I really do hope no pony steals AJ's episode. Last week it was overshadowed by Derpy, and I was one to not favor the way she was acting- half paranoid again. If Derpy makes another appearance, I would like to not focus on her for the whole show.
Also, I have a feeling that Vinyl will appear in this episode. Does anybody know the brothers' voices, though?
