Hmmm, nothing I'm reading. I was wondering, is Upheaval: Breaking Point good? I was staying away for it for quite some time due to the grimdark tag. It seems to update in almost every update post

As an addendum to my previous comment, do not include the bitching about Twilight.... "getting hurt" on the story's EQD page.

@Thunderice it's not that grimdark on a scale of 1-5, where 5 is cupcakes, it's a 2, it's grimdark in the same way that Lord of the Rings is grimdark (e.g. fantasy fighting)
@gato the updates aren't that long, I think they're 2-3 pages long (not like FO:E, where the updates were 10+ pages long) it's not in google docs so I can't tell how long they are

Wow, I just have to say Upheaval is an example of a condition known as Power Updating. Symptoms include making authors like me jealous at your self-discipline.

A Rose is a Rose is an awesome story everyone should read. If the show was exactly the same but with a more mature rating this is what it would be like.

I'd call it more dark than grimdark, though there's certainly room for that to change. So far, though, there hasn't been all that much gore. If you have any interest at all in warfics, I'd put it at the top of your list; it's the most believable war scenario I've read, and it also reminds me of Jim Butcher's Codex Alera, which can in no way be a bad thing.
Bottom line: if you like badass ponies, this fic is for you.
