I admit, the beginning of the story takes some time to get into, and I did skip a few parts that focused on some of the original characters, but the latest part gets into some interesting stuff. I won't say give it another try but it has gotten better.
Anyway, onward to reading!

Sorry for, like, quadruple posting, but I seriously need to do this to keep myself from smashing my phone against the wall...I wrote a fiction, it got 16k views after three weeks, it had 4.3/5 stars, and I loved writing it, and I JUST got over my writers' block, and, lo and behold, I GET C@CK BLOCKED.

FIMFiction seems to have been hacked, I was on it just before it went down and a bunch of conspiracy crap about Jews and 911 showed up followed by the DB server and then the whole site going down, hopefully by the admin taking it down to prevent further damage and begin repairs.
I am not (too) worried by the fact that it now redirects to 0au.de as FIMFiction.net is apparently a virtual domain with the "real" server for the site being poni.0au.de (several stories from EqD use links that go to that URL rather than FIMFiction.net). If anyone has the contact details for the FIMFic admin(s) (or knows someone who does) it would be a good idea to fire a message their way to find out exactly what is going on though.
It's official, I will never read Upheaval. Too many damn chapters already.

Good God. Winter Academy is updating EVERY SINGLE DAY.
I bookmarked it the day it started, because I couldn't get into it while I tried to write the next chapter for my own story and I still haven't read starting reading it yet because I'm so stuck on what I'm writing.
How often can Envy update? Feel like it's been constantly updating every day for a while now.

Heh, the story written by Vulpin has a Twilight that looks like Vulpix. Well, no, she looks closer to Ninetales, but it's within the same evolution family.

If you're looking for an epic length/style story, Upheaval's one of the best, word of warning though the author creates a whole OC world (just like FO:E) so be prepared to deal with a lot of OC's, though the author does it really well (no apparent mary sue's), plus he explains some portions of lore which haven't been explained in the show yet, like where the alicorns came from.
Another warning: contains fantasy battles (think lord of the rings), with swords, magic, and natural weapons (claws, hoofs etc.), also contains blood, it's well written as a part of battle scenes and other appropriate times (like with medical stuff)
