Well, this might not be an actual answer but it's 3:20 am so I'll take it. Beyond Judgment it is.
Wow, I need to stop looking at these story updates. I still have all of Fallout: Equestria, most of Pink Eyes, and everything but the first chapter of Project Horizons. Oh, and Winter Magic Academy and all 252 unread chapters on Fimfiction. Yeah... And on top of all that I'm trying to balance school, family time, and the writing of 8 stories simultaneously.

I think Fillystata is the most intense fic I've ever read. It really captures the intensitiy and mood in the verbiage unbelievably well. And it definitely emulates Lovecrafts suspension of disbelief.

@MisterTTG No joke, Transcendence is still continuing and Fallout: Equestria has some DLC stories that are updating. The Original Fallout: Equestria, however, is infact over.

Um... Fallout Equestria (the original), Past Sins, and On a Cross and Arrow are all complete.
On a Cross and Arrow, hinted at a second story, and as far as I know, it's not started, other than a teaser chapter.
The story that I'm feeling most scared about, is "Paradise".

Other fics that I worry about are "Divergence" and "The Sun is Tired". I like BOTH stories, but they have also been hit by enough haters that I feel the writers may have gotten tired of it.
I will NEVER UNDERSTAND the drive of haters. "Herp derp, I don't like this thing I hate, so I'm gonna waste all my time stickin' around here reading this thing I hate and telling you and your fans how retarded I think you and your story is, blah, blah, blah, herp derp..." If people don't like things, then LEAVE! It NEVER ceases to amaze me how much time haters are willing to DEDICATE on the things they hate.
OK... end rant.
I do love so many stories that post here. My 3DS can only hold 64 bookmarks... and they are all full. EqD, a 3DS website, and 62 story links! LOL I do love this fandom's creativity, and now I get to read an update on Beyond Judgment!

Oh Luna, the grimdark is grim, but so far, it's OC grim... Think redshirts in Star Trek. No main character has been killed, but they have been to the edge of their lives or sanity at points in the story. OCs... they can die. At one point in the story, hundreds. Updates can be spaced far apart, but chapters tend to be EPIC long. Some chapters are longer than other whole FICS! For example, Chapter 21 was 21200 words, Chapter 22 was 15589 words long, and 23 was 4870 (chapter 22 and 23 were intended to be a single chapter).
It is one of the stories that if it's 2:30 AM, and I am tired as can be, and I see it updated... I read it, even if I have to stay up another hour or two.
There's even a badflank Derpy chapter and a Big Mac saves ponyville chapter... To say they go to hell and back... ... If you read the story, that statement has SO MUCH more meaning!
Just go and read it, but don't start it if you have any responsibilities or job to do that day... YOU WILL be drawn into it's tale, just like the gaping maw of a **spoilers-redacted**!
