The writing is quite smooth. I need to get over my initial grudge over an OC being so close to Luna, though, to give it a fair shot, heh.

I've been tracking this 'un over on FiMFiction since August. It's a really good read, but the updates have been few and far between. (I remember reading the last one while I was on line for a panel at New York Comic Con back in October.) The fact that it's been posted here gives my cold heart hope that there'll be a new chapter soon.
Oh, and in case anyone is curious about who in the hay Dale is and why he's soul-bonded to the best princess in Equestria, check out the author's earlier story "In The Eye of the Storm." I think this story is kind of a sequel.

Hm... Alternate universe number 5.013, few updates and "kinda" a sequel. Meh. I like (grim)dark and adventure fics but my to-read folder is already overflowing.
Gotta wait until it's complete.

Extremely doubtful if this author's previous stories are anything to go by.
If this story is half as awesome as the Heralds crossover that this is a follow up to, the only painful thing will be waiting for updates.
There is a complete unpublished chapter in my (the editor's) hands right now. Now that the back and forth to get this up on EqD is done, I'm going back to editing. The chapter after that is about half written, as well.
So, expect an update in a couple of days.
I cannot wait to read the rest of this when it is available. Based on the intro I read In the Eye of the Storm first and found it very enjoyable as well.
