I think "WTG" is an error on Cereal's part, but it prolly refers to the Writer's Training Grounds on dA that some of the EqD pre-readers run on the side. The WTG and the Artist's TG share an IRC server/channel, so Cereal may have confused the two.
Some times I think people seriously forget or just vastly don't understand just how taxing sorting all this stuff out from hundreds of people can be on 1-3 people... and 1 without internet to boot and the others mail being swamped with useless images that would only slow things down with having to delete all the non-relevant pictures from the stupid WTG ones just because we had one untimely mishap go on.
*ahem* Way To Go guys for being ever so tolerant of the less then handful of staff that run this, take a break and plan out your next mock-war training pictures and just wait till something pops up on when and where to send them.
@Cátsy Well, hate to play devil's advocate here, but you really can't blame us (or the site admins, really) for the submission site getting Ron Paul'd. The only other method of entry was the email addy provided, and it's not like anyone had any idea Phoe's laptop was gonna go deep six when it did.
It's was fairly obvious to those of us that submitted early that Phoe was gonna have a ocean of emails to swim through, but the offset to that is if you were to show "kindness" to her inbox and not send in your entry, then you miss the deadline and don't get to participate. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
It's just a horribly bad run of luck with several technical difficulties. Can't point any blame at anyone.
How the heck do you mis-type "A" as "W"? I can understand "Q" "S" or "Z" as typos for "A", given that those three letters are on adjacent keys, but "W" is not only on a different line, it's hit with a different finger.
Well, it's nice to know that the brony community can even break portions EQD with gratuitous amounts of traffic. At least it's not some poor, unsuspecting website running a poll, right?

The answer is simply that calling an end to the event felt like a betrayal of all your hard work. I was on top of it for a long time, and I thought I'd be able to manage. I thought if I could at least get Day 1 sorted and posted, it might be ok if I took a break and waited for a new script to help me out.
But then I left for one hour to hand in the keys to my temp housing, and by the time I could check the inbox again to know I was screwed, it was too late. I was already 170 behind and falling farther. All I could think to do was scramble and try to get as many up as I could.
Despite the circumstances I want to thank Phoe for the opportunity that she has given us. If not for this event I would have not even attempted to draw ponies or even to break into the community. Thank you again Ms.Phoe and hoping everything works out with this and your current housing.

Perhaps holding off for a bit till things are straightened out then we can try this again! I haven't drawn in like 10 years so that was my first attempt. Could have gone better I think.
