Hasbro Senior Web Developer Offering to Assist with Pony Sites
This is pretty awesome. I don't want her to be bombarded too hard, so I'm putting it here! Someone named Tammy from Hasbro's web development department is offering her services for free to improve various pony sites!
This would just be a side thing for her, after work or on weekends, and it will be running with a first come, first serve basis. I doubt she will completely build a site for you, but if your in need of a few small tweaks, this might be a good place to find assistance with it!

The San Antonio Bronies have held several meet-ups at this point, but our Mare-a-thon was, by far, the most successful to date.
The event started at 12:00 noon at our local anime and apparel shop, Ooples. Everything began with a round of cupcakes and episodes of Friendship is Magic, starting at the very beginning. Every few episodes we would take a break to get everyone to participate in an activity, like Learning to Draw Ponies , Sock-pony making, singing Winter Wrap-Up, pizza, and then Sock Pony act-along with the show.
By the end of the evening, a record total of 55 bronies attended, and we’re hoping to have even more for our next big brony meet-up.

DC Meetup

DC Bronies met up the week after BroNYCon to share how awesome BroNYCon was and of course d'awww all over the new episode...it was messy. We had about 35 attendees with a lot of new faces. And what better cure for stage fright in front of a ton of people you've never met...plushies! We met at the perfectly named Tenley-Friendship library for episode viewing, introductions and chat. Later we invaded Z-burger for appropriately digestible noms (no one tried to eat the tablecloth) and on to taking over the American University lounge. A hand-made Pinkie Pie Party Canon came out and threw confetti everywhere while a group of ponies played games well into the evening. And because we're just that crazy, we're doing it all again next week! You can never have enough ponies!

I might steer clear of Cupcakes, but after watching some "Saw" yesterday, I suppose I can handle whatever gore comes my way.

Wow, that Cupcakes animation is actually pretty good. It's also conflicting. Starts off cute and nice, then turns bad FAST. Then it gets cute and nice again, then goes back. But it's a nice animation, I like it. It's fun, despite the more graphical nature. :P For all those neighsayers out there, Seth. Just ignore them. I won't be watching the Cupcakes video... my imagination does enough with just a synopsis of the fic; I don't want to throw more fuel on the fire. So I'll just crawl into this corner over here and hope that Cupcakes just sort of blows over eventually.
On a related note, it's sad that Hostel and the Saw movies didn't bother me at all, but Cupcakes drives me completely bonkers. I think it's because the characters in the films are people I don't give a damn about, while Cupcakes messes with mah ponies.

Oh man, that Cupcakes animation was hilarious in a very very morbid way. Rainbow Dash is my favorite pony, but anything with Andrew WK is to awesome to not like.
I'll be completely honest. I don't like Cupcakes, it makes me sick to my stomach to read, and I dislike anything involving the subject.
This animation, however? I was nearly in tears from laughing because of how ridiculous this was. With such good animation, such ridiculous actions, and such great music choice, there's no way I can vote it down in any way shape or form. It's just too well done.

The Cupcakes cartoon is quite possibly the funniest thing I've seen all week.

A bit of an assumption on my part I guess... It makes sense that the distinctions between the companies get fuzzy somewhere along the line, so that they can better work together. (at least it's not as bad as all the arbitrary structure in the United Kingdom!)
For some reason I thought that there were different offices for each new website, but in hindsight that doesn't make sense.
By the way, that sounds like an awesome job! ...except if you've got to deal with segfaults often... those are annoying.
If it wasn't for Mane6's Fighting is Magic, I probably wouldn't have become a fan of the show. I found there website and watched the video of Applejack vs. Applejack. The quality of the graphics and music blew me away and I thought if someone is making a game of this magnitude and putting in the time to make look this great then the show has got to be good.

Ya know what? Synergy like this is the future of business. I could see companies working with their fans/customers to produce better products in an increasingly symbiotic manner until the end product is some odd cultural/corporate amalgam.
It has happened before biologically: mitochondria and chloroplasts developed such a close symbiosis with proto-cells that their DNA eventually became one and the same.

You do? I had a question about the source code. In a few JavaScript function calls the variable 'derp' is passed. Looking at the function all I could tell about derp is that it's either NULL or not. Also couldn't find derp declared anywhere. So is 'derp' just a placeholder for NULL?

Seriously, I would check out PHP as a base starting web language, followed by Ruby and Java. Java will make you want to /wrist, so don't learn it first.
