Is it bad that I plugged in my headphones because my sister is here and I don't want her to think I listen to hardcore metal rock. A brony's got to keep up their image after all ^_^
Hmm. Are the vocals digitally altered? It's... look, I love extreme metal, okay? Fast as Dash, slower than Tank dragging a refrigerator, harmonic or discordant, whatever. But the vocals in this just weren't... they didn't sound good. They made me wince. And then the chorus came in... Are these really what good deathcore vocals sound like? If so, I'll just avoid the genre and shut up, 'cos these kinda lack control, volume, and passion (to my ears, anyway - maybe I'm just too used to the heavy stuff).
Much more Hardcore influence than Metal, in my opinion. With a bit of "pop Screamo" or rather "pop punk" thrown in.
I say "pop Screamo" because real scream doesn't have vocals or instrumentals like that. I shouldn't have even mentioned that abused term, really.
This is a mixture of deathcore(with the death metal really watered down) and pop punk. That's exactly what it is. There isn't even a speck of screamo sound to this sound or it would sound much crustier and chaotic.
The only kind of metal i dislike is the one where it goes very metal to pop in an instant, but since this is original pony music I can't help but love it! (Oh and luna bias too)
This was just okay. I think the rhythm isn't that bad, but the vocals really get in the way of making this song any good. If there wasn't as much of a dissonance between the talking and screaming, it would be more enjoyable. I'll at least applaud them for trying.
Then again, I'm more of a fan of Dethklok, Cannibal Corpse, Death, Children of Bodom, Static-X, Vader, Nile, and Strapping Young Lad's musical styles.

The Idea is good but the vocalist is just a bit too squeaky for it to work.
I guess its a kind of metal, but not mine.
In a perfect world I would wish for "Princess Luna/Nightmare Moon" by a band like Blind Guardian, Black Majesty, or Pharaoh.
In my humble opinion it needs more of the fantasy power metal type of feel of these bands.
