I'm not gonna say that I think it's totally creepy this fandom (which is predominantly made up of adult men) to be friending a little girl on facebook because she voices a character in the show....but it's totally creepy.

It's telling that seth felt the need to put up a reminder like that. I think there are a few (and oft overlooked) negative sides to this fandom that deserve a serious look at. I say this not to put down the community, but because I think that we bronies can do better; that we can make this an even better fandom.
My only hope is that everyone treats her with respect. I know I have in the few posts I've made on her wall (I liked her page a few days before today's post). She's a sweet person, but the adult in me really does worry about sending a horde of other guys my age to the Facebook page of a 12 year old kid. I trust the guys on here, but who knows about everyone else out there? A little maturity will benefit all of us here. Just saying.

Plus its not people are liking it because shes a a younger girl. Shes getting what she asks for as would any of the other people who work on the show do. Daniel Ingram, Andrea Libman, etc. Even if one of the more obscure people who worked on the show asked for FB likes, they'd get it too.
She is amazingly talented. I knew this, after listening to her EverFree Radio interview. But after I listened to her song reel, I was just astounded at the amazing set of pipes that girl has.
She is an incredible performer. With how very mature and professional combined with her natural talent, she'll go really far. :)
I feel like this will be a pivotal event people can look to and see that this was the moment the fandom went downhill. What horrors have just been unleashed?
@HappyCrusader This. I don't really have anything to add to this, but HappyCrusader makes a very good point here. In a fandom like this, considering what we're a fandom for, and the messages that it teaches, we really ought to be doing better.
There has never been a recorded incident where someone said something completely disrespectful on one of the VA's walls, or YouTube channels. There have been one or two needles in the Mt. Everett sized haystacks where there were some off color comments, but nothing obscene. Still, the warning is appropriate, just to be safe.
Also, @Snowfi6916 Ya, I'm pissed to about the ponychan thread being locked, it was my thread. I posted the same kind of thread when I emailed EQD about Andrea Libman's Facebook wall, and that thread wasn't locked. Same with Maddy's charity and Claire's YouTube, no locks because it isn't raiding. I guess I'm lucky I emailed EQD about this wall, or the initiative would have been cut short.
Also I don't blame the mods, I refuse to question someones judgement call, u blame the one asshole who filled the thread with his crying that it constituted raiding.

That being said, I don't mind liking her page. In my opinion, it's just what the 'Like' button is, a thumbs up, and nothing more. She's talented, and it's not wrong to acknowledge that talent with such a simple gesture.
