You know, you'd think that on the list of ponies who have no business being anywhere near a lightning cloud, Derpy would be WAY up there. But now it seems we know who the main character is.
Aside from all the Derpfriend pics, my favorites are Iron Dash, Luchaloo, Pinkie Omen, and of course all the Applejacks. Always great new stuff the day of a show, and this didn't disappoint.

OK, can someone tell me what the big deal is with getting 'first'? The only two times I've tried to get it, I did, and I've got a seriously underpowered computer on a painfully slow network.
And this really should have been Drawfriend #Derp. So much derp I'm gonna herp. Which is a good thing, but I'm really hoping for more AJ and Pinkie Pie as the week goes on; Derpy was great for 30 seconds, but those two were great for pretty much the whole episode. (And why is all the Applejack art today shipping with Rainbow Dash?)
#1: If I could cause lightning and thunder by jumping on a cloud, I'd do it too. Nice lighting on this drawing.
#4: Of course, I'd have to be really careful to not cause this to happen. I like Dash's expression and frazzled appearance.
#5: This drawing is just perfect. That's probably Derpy's way of taking a shower.
#6: Nice action drawing of Rarity and Spike; slightly different style from the show, but it works.
#10: Epic battle scene between Discord and Starswirl the Bearded; love the poses, very dynamic.
#13: Pinkie Pie isn't the only character that can break the fourth wall, but she may be the only character to do so intentionally. Really cute Derpy doodle from Egophiliac.
#15: Epic Trixie; looks like she's been studying for the next time she encounters Twilight Sparkle. Great lighting effects for the magic, and a nicely dramatic pose with a flowing cape.
#19: She may be cute now, Inkie Pie, but what happens when she grows older?
#20: I like Derpy's slightly-bashful expression here, pretty much how I imagine she'd initially react to all the attention she's getting from us.
#25: More cool lighting and mane effects for cloudhopper Derpy.

I love you guys! I certainly hope there is a way we can organize a Rainbow Dash level of mushy, heartfelt, thanks to Studio B/Media DHX's crew for the great job they've done, not to mention their kind friendship with this wonderful fan community!
None of this would have been even possible on the internet 7 years ago. Maybe even less. Hasbro would never have found any of this additional admiration, and the production crew would never have had this degree of fan interaction.
This wonderful fandom is one of the greatest arguments against the mindless corporate favors in politics today, and today, it reiterated that the creative flow is a two way street.
This episode, "The Last Roundup" is on the listed episodes for the upcoming MLP:FiM DVD "The Friendship Express", coming out this February in US regions. I say, lets thank the crew, The Hub, Shout media, and Hasbro by picking this up when it comes out. It'll probably be about $10. No offense, but I can blow $8 eating out. Today was a great day for ponydom and bronydom.
Poor Applejack indeed, I'm not a fan of shipping anyway, she does need some love but not in that way!
Also, as far as #24 goes... I love Scoots and this no flying thing needs to be fixed. I think she can fly, but until her wings catch up with her body it's just hard for her. I bet it'll be the same for Pound Cake when he gets older. That's how I look at it anyway.
This is really bugging me. Part of me is screaming that #16 is from a fic i read recently, but i cant remember any details. I think it was on eqd, too. Possibly a one-shot. Anyone else find it familiar?

I love Applejack, but I don't really know what scene of hers really jumped out from the latest episode. Maybe next week, what with the Apple Squeezy thing.
1) But c'mon... this was such a cute scene. Derpy was adorable in her first official speaking part. Love her bouncing on the cloud... that's so what I would do if I were a Pegasus.
2) I knew the AppleDash fans would find a lot to read into with this last episode...
3) I'd watch a buddy cop series starting these two.
4) Heh... Nice pair of Pegasi... And who is Dash to complain? She zaps people all the time, and bounced on a cloud to drench Twilight in her first appearance. Double standards, that's what Dash has.
5) Cute, but she might be infringing on Screwball's niche with such a Discordy bit.
6) Rarity/Spike action scene! Like the vibrant colors.
7) So it sounded like Cherries Jubilee thought that AJ won a ton of ribbons (more than she'd ever seen). I don't think she was just being nice... I think AJ would have cleaned up in a decathlon type competition, having placed in nearly every event she entered. She's still the Iron Pony in my book. I'm pretty sure that's what Dash is whispering in her ear here.
8) Seriously. One's the fastest thing on wings. The other has a few issues and loves muffins. Together they solve crimes. Think about it, networks. Cute image!
9) I'm sure she perfected her technique after dropping that cloud. Besides, it would take Kryptonite to stop those kids. Love Pinky's expression.
10) All of these epic Starswirl pictures really make me want to see him appear in the show. Maybe a time traveling episode is in order. Of course, they'd completely deflate all of the fannon with such a thing. But until then, this kind of awesomeness rules.

Hmmm, I think y favourite out of all these is #23, It looks fantastic though alot of art here does.

I find the amount of Derpy rather disturbing. Applejack gets no love, and when she does it's from the heretical AppleDashers :P.
#21: I love it when two characters who barely interact get some screentime together. Ideally, all character pairings should have a dual episode.
#27: This is just great. I remember there being a picture that featured Twilight as the Iron Pony some time ago, but I much prefer this one.
#37: I can't imagine what inspired the author to make Pinkie Dutch, to be honest. The Dutch stereotypes, by which I mean stinginess, an almost blunt directness and a love of pot and hookers, don't seem to fit her at all. Also, the flag is upside down :P.

I am mad... Derpy has 2 minutes in the show and gets... I don't know like 15-20 pictures? But in the one applejack episode in the longest of time she gets nothing. Just one simple picture that actually relates to the episode, somewhat relates to the episode. What is this whole thing about Derpy that I don't understand?
It's amazing how many people think every single one of these pics is in response to the episode :P
I can guarantee that about a quarter if not half were drawn WELL BEFORE, and just submitted recently/uploaded to queue recently.

Haha. I don't mind derpy in principle. But honestly she was much much better when she was just a where's wally kind of background pony. I really don't want the fans dictating her character and plot.
@fluffstalker I agree with you. I really preferred her when she was just a game of "Spot the goofy pony". The amount of exposure she's been given in the aftermath of the new episode has made me sick to death of her, and given her usual portrayal is that of an idiot, I have even less reason to like her. I subscribe to the same school of thought as the Bastard Operator From Hell when it comes to idiots: they deserve only ire.

Wow, the amount of AJ fanart when she gets an episode has actually increased in a year. I'm impressed. But yeah, it would be cool if people could stop drawing Identical Piece #283 of their waifu ciphers like Derpy or Luna and do more art based on recent episodes.
