This is probably taking the bottom one too seriously, but I understood Pip's statement to mean that they didn't celebrate Nightmare Night in Trottingham, not that he was born less than a year ago. (In fact I think he says something along these lines in the episode.)

#2 I saw this one on the cmic the other day. Can;t say I agree with all of like. Like Granny Smith being 300 years old. Or Pip being less than a year old. :P But it's still a fun age chart thing.

Unicorns are OP I tell you, gotta nerf them, or at least buff earth ponies!
1. It's true, there are a lot of things that would be made more difficult with mouths instead of hands. Even those aside though, there are other implications made thanks to the use of mouths.
For example, the ponies must have incredibly strong immune systems, because Earth Pony and Pegasus saliva would get everywhere on everything, especially stuff like bandages(no way to avoid it) so as a result, they must rarely experience disease. Unicorns might be more susceptible to disease due to their ability to levitate objects, but that's debatable because we've seen plenty of unicorns use their mouths as much as their magic. However, while they may have strong immune systems...when ponies have an epidemic, THEY HAVE AN EPIDEMIC. The Black Death in Europe in the 13th century? Yeah, that's NOTHING compared to the loss of life that would happen if the ponies ever had a major plague.
2. This age chart amuses me, though I question the Granny Smith being 300 years old part, mainly because there's no real reason to assume that Twilight's line in Winter Wrap Up was directly aimed at Ponyville itself being hundreds of years old. Granted, the way it's said it's hard to interpret otherwise, but unless Equestrian ponies live for far longer than humans...I can't see why we shouldn't take Granny Smith's story over Twilight.
Buck that, flying is worth it.
They got Celestia's and Luna's ages wrong. They aren't 1000 years old. They are much older than that. 1000 years ago was when Celestia sent Luna to the moon.
