I hope I don't get jumped on when I say this, but I'm actually hoping they're just friends in this comic. We already have a dozen stories/comics where they're shipped, so having them not be shipped would actually be original for once.
Well, it was fun read. Tavi is even more formal than usually and Vinyl took some fourth wall breaking lessons from Pinkie. I'm not sure what to think of war references, will have to wait until the next part of the comic.

Not the best comic out there to be honest. While I enjoyed the new art style, and the setup of the current events was nice, but the jokes were a tad stale, and there was maybe 3 profiles used throughout all those pages.
All in all, it's ok, but I prefer quality over quantity (Episode reference HOOOOOOO)
I feel like I'm in the minority on this, but I think Octavia and Vinyl Scratch work better as platonic friends rather than lovers. I do feel a bit sorry for all those going into this comic expecting shipping, though. *^^* Not bad, and I look forward to seeing the artist improve as time goes on.

I don't mind what interpretation of Octavia and Scratch is used ince all can be good (so long as you don't make them utter mortal enemies.)

Hey, I'm a close friend of his and I thought I'd reply to a few comments here.
Thanks for the read, he got a tablet at Christmas and is gradually learning to draw better with it, so expect the art to improve greatly over time.
He also plans to start taking that advice on "quality over quantity", this first issue was really a learning experience and you can expect the jokes to improve as well. I hope you check it out again in the future!

The back story, including the war references, is still very much a work in progress right now. He's still putting the ideas together, so even he isn't sure where it's going. But the quality will definitely be improving in the next issue so it'll be worth checking out. Thanks for reading!
That was a cute comic, I enjoy the fact that they aren't just lovers but friends with an entertaining backstory, their rivalry between Lyra and Bon Bon is a smart concept and I'm looking forward to the next one
