The Fluttersqueak...the rarest and most powerful of all squeaks. This comic was positively cruelarious.
The other one works well, too. I like the left to right format of the comic, scrolling through it felt almost like watching a short film. It was really nice.
The image is much funnier if you know the source, as then you know what the squeak should sound like.
About octoscratch, they are two BG musicians, so they got shipped together, nuff said. They get loads of fan content, fics/comics/etc so they are fine by me.
Okay, that was actually heartwarming enough to overrule the MDW comic from earlier. I really, REALLY want a story written about it with the same care and warmth.
The Vinyl/Octavia shipping was an easy one. It pairs two individuals that share a common related interest, yet are pretty much opposites at the same time. And that's a fairly common way of coupling a pair together.

#2 It seems I'm about to get clobbered on the head by a bouquet of roses. lol But awww, Vinyl is proposing. That's cute. I especially love her all dressed up. You don't get to see that often. It's a rarity.
@TenchiFreak5 If you take the comic seriously, it would be rather dark, but it's meant just as a silly joke, suggesting Fluttershy could be used like a squeaky toy.
If you're still worried about Fluttershy being hurt, just think about how Twilight was up and walking normally hours after being flattened by a piano. ;)
I like how the second comic ends right where it needs to. it didn't over exert itself showing you what you already had envisioned in your head anyway, it didn't go for the fluff, it went just as far as intended and left the rest to the reader.
and? people get in relationships for having vaguely similar interests all the time.
the relationship isn't all about that one thing. that one thing is where the trail starts. that one thing you have in common is the hook that can lead to things you didn't know you had in common, or things that contrast, but don't clash.
I recognized the DBZ Abridged joke easily. To be serious, though, if MLP wasn't a kids show, they could have actually had him pull a Great Ape Vegeta and try to actually crush one of the Mane Six while her friends watched in horror. Again, they would never pull something like that in a kids show, but it would have made Discord 10 times more terrifying and threatening.

You speak as if the two were cannonically in a relationship. They aren't, they're two background ponies that have never said a single word to anyone and have never appeared together even once and have nothing in common.
This isn't an actual relationship here, this is another product of the most basic and trite formula for slash pairings ever created. If two people argue then they love each other. Don't even try to bring in the true depth of relationships into something so shallow.
Now. People CAN write them to have a deep relationship, but don't try to make it out as if this was started by anything more than the typical pointless slash pairing fans.
You seem strangely vehement about this, especially considering it's something so silly. Let the fans have their fun already- most of what fanwork I see of the pairing is quality, and that's enough for me, really.
