Apparently you can straight up buy the entire box for around 50 bucks, which includes one of everything.
*UPDATE* It looks like they do actually still follow the same number system, so pick and choose away!
We also have various McDonalds locations bringing out the old pony set from last year. These have been invading Europe recently, so maybe a few stray shipments made their way over to the states? It could also be backup while they wait for the barbie line coming up in a few days. Regardless, you might be able to find some scattered at various Miccy D's locations if you have time to go hunting. The Rarity above was found at a Modesto, CA restaurant.
Whether you are looking for Blind Bags, or Mcdonalds toys, it's going to take some hunting! Try calling first!

I wish I could find the McDonald's toys at the restaurants again. I missed them their first time around. And they're pricey on Ebay. :x
As for the Blind Bags, you can buy the whole set for $50? Anyone know how many that get's you in all? I'm guessing it's larger than that 12 piece Blind Bag pony set.

Last i checked at McDonald's, which was like 3 days ago, it was still Alvin and the Chipmunks.

Glad I decided to wait before running out to buy ponies at Wal Mart. I think I'll wait for the new number system to be posted before going pony shopping.

Didn't see the blind bags in the Coralville, IA Walmart btw. Looked in both the toy aisle and the collectible aisle (CCGs, trading cards, etc.)
Heh. This reminds me when a friend of mine (who is a brony thanks to me :P) gave me a McDonalds Pinkie Pie for xmas. And before you say that that's cheap of him, I want to say that we don't usually give presents to each other, so it was just a funny detail that actually made me very happy :)
It was also funny because he specifically wanted a Pinkie for me, but the toy was random. However, Pinkie happened :P. But well, it her, she can do things like that xD

Man I hate Mcdonalds, their burgers tastes like shit and there's kids everywhere. And I can't get there because of my non existing drivers license. Guess I'll have to wait or Ebay or something =(
I was just at a Walmart and didn't turn up anything. Good thing that wasn't the only reason I had gone or it would have been a waste of a trip. For now, I guess the hunt continues.

Hmm, i was only able to get an applejack(best pony) from Mcdonals, i have to keep an eye open for this.
Someone should totally compile a new list for the Blind Bags. That'd make life so much easier.
After snooping around my local Wal-Mart I was able to find the blind bags but they weren't in the pony section. I'd check around the other toy aisles, mine was an aisle away with other random cheaper toys. Using the European ID system I saved a while back I was also able to get the ones I wanted, just be sure to look for the number at the top, under the back flap.
Blind bags IMO were always a bit sketchy......idunno why.......
Anyways, a bit of research later, and the ponies seem to have divided by zero, as I can find no trace of them whatsoever
McDonald's food is crap. Good thing you can just walk in and buy the toys separately in most of them.

OK, so we have a report or reports that the ID system used in Europe for the first wave blind bags doesn't work here, but we also have someone posting saying it did work for them. If I'm fortunate enough to find ponies in a nearby Wal-Mart, I'll do what little testing I can to gather more data. Should be able to go tomorrow...
For Blind bags - 1=PP 2=AJ 3=RD 4=R 5=TS 6=FS 22=glitter PP 23=glitter TS 24=glitter RD or the order in which they are pictured on the bag is the number sequence.
I checked one WalMart yesterday for them, but no dice. Saw a bunch of regular toys, fashions, playsets, those creepy baby plushies, etc. Might go check another store soon.
So mcdonalds is bringing those back? My niece has celestia but shes pink lol
Tip: Check the pony section, the endcaps of the toy aisles, as some Wal-Mart stores don't rearrange every time they get new stock in, and also, check the checkout aisle where they have Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh cards; they put some of the Lego minifig blindbags there in the past, so putting ponies there wouldn't surprise me.
I'm not sure If I want to come out of the stable to my parents for the McDonalds toys.

It sounds like someone got a number 24 which turned out to be a glitter Fluttershy. That is from Blind Bag Wave 2 so perhaps certain places are actually getting different blind bag series?

I work for McDonalds and i think their just getting rid of old toys. They do that from time to time. We only had 3 boxes of rarity and celestia. Now we have more old toys instead of new ones.
Time to go to the McDonalds at my local Wal-Mart! ...I feel dirty.
The id system worked for me I was able to get rainbow dash and glittery dash and the number system still worked, maybe some are different but not all of them

if your looking for rainbow dash both versions the number system is the same 24 for glittery dash and 3 for regular dash :)
I can confirm that the ID system for series one of the blind bags DOES work for the US blind bags at Walmart.
My baby sister and I picked up the mane six, Minty, and three glitters by using the numbers printed on the bags.
If you call/visit Walmart and politely ask them to look up the UPC number for the bags (on the receipt here: http://www.equestriadaily.com/2012/01/blind-bag-ponies-invading-us-wal-mart.html) they can tell you if they have them in stock. The associate was nice enough to go get their newly received box of ponies from the back to let us pick through.
The bags come 24 to a box and contains one of each series one pony if you'd juts like to purchase the entire thing outright.

For anyone looking for the McDonald's toys, you could check out ebid.net. It's another bidding site but much smaller. I bought the McD's set from a couple sellers there, they only ran me a few bucks each. Granted that was a few months back- right now the only ones I see are 5-6 bucks each, but since that's where I got mine I figured I'd mention it. Good luck.

Man, that Rarity looks good! The McDonald's toys we got here in Brazil kinda sucked (none the less I bought all of them)
I've never seen ponies at my Walmart before which is just plain sucky. But! I'm glad other folks are getting a chance to pick them up. The blind bag ponies look awesome. I will get my hoofs on them someway.
My Walmart in Dallas has wave 1 blindbag ponies as of today. The numbering system is still accurate and I was able to get exactly the ones I wanted. The box contained 24 bags, which were numerically ordered when I got there (so I'm guessing I was the first one to buy ponies out of it). Ponies were $2 each, so I suppose the entire box of 24 (one of each pony) would run you $48 + tax.
I got Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Minty, Lily Blossom, Roseluck, Firecracker Burst, and the 3 glitter ponies. :3

I just love the teamwork in this comment thread. Ponies helping other ponies locate these blindbag toys and McD toys and providing useful information. Though my mind cannot help but say, over and over again:

But then again, it's kinda true, the blindbag toys are some of the best ones out there, and are quite rare, too. So naturally it's going to be serious business when news of more being available surfaces.

My wal-mart had them and they were all stamped with the right number and every thing.....then I bought the entire box so now the Auburn Indiana wal-mart is out....best part is I work there so I got a discount on them (saved 4 bucks that's like two for free)

Yep found a Blind Bag box at the Walmart I work at, and was quite happy to see it, I didn't think my derpy Walmart would be getting any.
Of course, I don't think I have any bronies in the area. The ponies almost never sell there.
Oh by the way, when they first came out I bought a bunch from a guy over seas and at the time they were random (jerk) anyway I got two different colored glittery Twilights one was light purple and one was dark purple (same card number and everything)

In wave 1, #13 is Roseluck, while #22 to #24 are glittering versions of Pinkie, Twilight, and Dash, respectively; for wave 2, #13 is Cheerilee, while #22 to #24 are glittering versions of Rarity, AJ, and Fluttershy, respectively. If you want to know which wave you're dealing with, those might be the safest numbers to try.

ive been working at mcdonalds for a year and a half now so ive seen this happen several times
when we run out of toys, we run to whatever storage area we have and grab a new box
if weve run out of the current toy
we usually have 3 or 4 other boxes of toys from before to pick from
our store actuallyjust got rid of some "shrek: forever" after toys
and a month before that we used the last of the "night at the museum: battle of the smithsonian" toys

Franklin Ohio Walmart and Mc Donalds had none at the moment, however if it changes I will let you know. Also if anyone finds out what the blind bag UPC is I can pretty much track which walmarts carry them instock. So someone reply to this with the UPC and I will check state wide for em.

About a month or two ago I found an unopened box of Rarity/Princess Celestia toys in the back area of the McDonald's where I work. Needless to say I now have both, and I was a pretty happy brony that day :)
My McDonald's is located in Lincoln, Nebraska, by the way, in case there're any bronies in the area that want a McD's Rarity or Princess Celestia ;) . Just as a head's up, though, the Princess Celestia toys are indeed pink. So it goes.

I work at a McDonalds in Lenexa, Kansas and we just recently received a shipment of AppleJack/ Cheerilee toys. I don't think we've actually started giving them out yet though. Didn't stop me from snagging a few though. :)
Pullman, Washington's Wal-Mart doesn't carry blindbags. Maybe when the supercenter in Moscow, ID opens up THEY will stock the blindbags...

Spotted blindbags in Maple Grove, MN Walmart Supercenter. They had two missing :(. I bought all of them but the mane six and went over to TRU to get the 12 pack exclusive. I'm only missing #24 from wave one, now. Stopped by some other stores that said they had them in stock but I could not find them, and the manager couldn't find them in back. Also checked the card/collectible sections, no go. Will probably order the last one online.
Any in NY? I'm checking tomorrow.
Orlando Walmart Supercenter on East Colonial, just south of UCF, does not have the blind bags. Haven't checked the others in the area yet.
Also, for those possibly checking at Target. I went earlier just to check as I went shoe shopping there. In the collectibles section, near the cards and stuff, there was a box of blind bag figures I swore were these.
They were fakes, phonies, a sad shame, pale imitation. They were called Princess Fillys, or something like that, and looked like G2/G3 versions. The box looked similar, and I almost fell for it.
So keep an eye out there. Other companies may be trying to fool us. Don't fall for it.

I finally got them in Houston, took calling 7 different walmarts though, one of them said they had it then checked again and told me 20 seconds later that they sold out that same day, heart breaking.
I Know the McDonald's I work for on East Coast is doing a warehouse cleaning(shipping out all the left-overs) this week but unfortunately there is a lack of ponies on our shelves. My suggestion is wait for the summer yard sales that are always full of McDonald's toys.
Continuing update for Upstate SC bronies:
Neither the Wal-Mart on Woodruff Road in Greenville, nor the Dorman Center Wal-Mart in Spartanburg currently have blindbags. I will attempt to check the Simpsonville Wal-Mart at some point.
I can also confirm that Target has only some G3 rip-offs called 'Filly Princesses' (as far as bags go - They do have other MLP merchandise, for what that's worth).
Anyone who bought the blind bags in the US still have your receipt, and know what the SKU for the blind bags would happen to be.
That number would make it possible to call stores and ask if they have the item in stock.

Twenty something days later, I must ask; aside from San Antonio and Dallas, have any Texas bronies (preferably South Texas bronies) seen the blind bags anywhere?
Just FYI, I bought a Wave 1 blind bag from a Toys'R'Us in Oregon, and the bags all have a 5-digit number on them. I got 20475, and it turned out to be #7 Sugar Grape. There is at least one other numbering system in existence.
