Interactive Pony Stactaft Portaits

These are actually really neat! Each one is a simple interactive Stacraft 2 Pony unit portrait.  I'm pretty sure Fluttershy's is the best here.  It's a shame we can't just ponify every game...

I actually have Starcraft 2 sitting here in the box, but between broken power supplies and the massive influx of games coming out this holiday season, I haven't had a chance to even open it.  Defenitly need to add it to the list!

Pony Trading Card Game Making Leaps and Bounds!

A pony trading card game is currently being worked on by a few people over on Ponychan.  I've tossed a small blurb about it in the roundup before, back when they didn't really have much progress.  Since then, they have released full models of the cards themselves, along with some information on how the actual game is played.  The designs on these things are looking great!

If you would like to follow future progress, along with any release dates, check out the new blog here.  They also have a Facebook page, primary Ponychan thread, and gallery of card examples. 

The testing phase is coming up pretty soon supposedly.  Hopefully all the bugs are worked out so we can start playing at meetups!

Ponies Take 9th Place on Time's Top Everything of 2011

If I had a million dollars for every single magazine/website/entertainment group that used the wrong ponies as a header image, I would totally have like... 10 million dollars right now.  Yep.

Anyway, Time did a small article on Bronies as part of their Top 10 Everything of 2011 piece.  Apparently we are just that awesome!

Pony Surveys

Two independent pony surveyors (IPS) have done studies on various aspects of the pony community, and we're going to feature both of them in a single post for your statistically awesome reading pleasure.

The first has this to say:

On December 5th, a survey was undertaken to determine the most popular pony of the “Mane 6” from the television show MLP: FiM. Respondents were asked to rate each pony on a scale from 1 to 10, with a rating of 1 signifying their disdain for a said character, and 10, adoration for a said character. Respondents were also asked for their age and sex. The survey received over 1,000 responses and was ended on the morning of December 6th. The results were compiled from Google Docs into various SPSS datasets for analysis.

The second one goes like this:

I did a comprehensive study into which pony is the most popular, using both common and not so common search engines, sampling various forum polls (/co/ was a nightmare), and studying the various search engines as well. Graphs galor!


Cereal will enjoy the final result, if that gives my conclusion away.

People keep emailing me asking why I like Trixie. Even if the the topic at hand is completely outside the realm of having anything to do with her, the question still pops up. And my response: I have no clue. Shes obnoxious, full of herself, and a dick to the mane cast, but something about her is just entertaining. Also the fan content is great.  Robe and wizard hat ponies ftw.
