Hi there! I've been staying pretty silent for a plenty number of updates, but I really think I should make my case at least.
A lot of people tend to shy away from the darker fics, and for good reason. My decision to put up an incredibly disturbing header image probably didn't help this image, but I understand that perfectly.
However, what I've written in the fic isn't a simple slash and gore sort of fic; there's really plenty of that out there already. What I've gone about doing is a more mature, more realistic view of Equestria, and wrote a crime mystery set in a non-utopic world. The fic definitely centers around character, setting, and psychological fronts rather than what the image would have anybody believe.
It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but after being star-bombed (my rating is definitely inaccurate) and had people shy away for -fear- of it being sick, I figured it was time I try to explain my case.
I really do hate to self-promote, but I do think that what I have is a good (hopefully) piece of character-driven fiction that is certainly _misunderstood_.
So come on in, give it a go, read some of the comments on the fic page to see general reactions, and hopefully you or any other people reading this, who are leaning on the precipice of choice will decide to take the plunge. A few have and they certainly weren't disappointed.
And for those who don't like it? At least you tried, and that's all I can ask for. =)
