Does sound rather sad, I'll give it a read later
More death fics?
(╯ಠ益ಠ)╯ ┻━┻
Yes, but was it worth it?
No. Just focus on commenting for something worthwhile now, not just for commenting sake.
And here we have another fic on one of the Mane 6 dying....hmmm, not sure if this is for me just yet. I have enough fics in my archive to read, i think i'll pass on this one for now.
Wow the first Death fic with a respectable name, bravo
I can't read sad fics anymore, this fandom's amazing pony writers are too good at making me cry.
Not Rarity! D:
*Fake spoiler*
Rarity dies, Applejack disappears forever, Twilight goes insane, Fluttershy is okay, Rainbow Dash is sad then finds A Shelby mustang, Pinkie bakes a sad cupcake
I'm afraid that after Final Dream of a Filly, I can't read anymore death fics. I hope that if it's well written it will receive the rating it deserves.
Did Dash die? Dash always dies in fics. :/
(I haven't read it yet, so I wouldn't know.)
Death fic?
Picture of Rarity?
NOOOOOOOOOO! I WONT TAKE THIS!
So it's basically Bittersweet?
>Rarity Picture
>>Fic About Death
>All of my Why, All of my Sadness
If I ever read fanfiction... this is one I'll read. Goddamn it's like I'm an emotional masochist. Don't kill the best pony!
The name reminds me a lot of the Pony Psychology chapter.
Oh Luna...should read this? xO
@Kyso
*hug*
Picture of Rarity as a header for a story about one of the mane six dying. Do I really want to read this?
""But when a sudden tragedy strikes down one of the elements, how will the other five be able to handle their lives?""
For get THEM. Thay're fictional characters.
How will I ever be able to handle it and go on with MY life?
Damn. athis story is sad.
It's good though.
"She didn’t want to believe it at all, but she knew with every pat on her back and each kind word from the doctor that it was true. The only thought that ran through her mind was Rarity is gone...
Forrrreeeeeverrrrrrrr!
I am going to pony hell for this.
nothing to do with the post but what are our chances of reaching 999999999 before the new year starts?
Considering how obvious it was going to be what happened, the setup was still handled quite well.
I'll keep my eye on this one. Looks like it may end up being as good of a read as Bittersweet was all those months ago.
Meh, it's an okay story.
This... isn't the saddest story I've ever read, pony or not (The latter is The Green Mile, the former has too many contenders). I was sad, certainly, but not as much of a tear-jerker.
Some of the descriptions were iffy, as well. "Rainbow looked like she had just flown three aerial marathons straight" irked me, mostly because there were better ways of describing all of the energy draining out of somebody, their willpower sapped by the sheer emotional exhaustion of what they're faced with.
Keep in mind it's still enjoyable, to the point where I want to read the next installment, but it could use some... polish. Rarity would want that, right?
Does this mean Rarity has a miscarage?
Okay, who dies this time?
Oh man. I don't know how many more of these sad fics I can handle. I can't help but notice "Bittersweet" being tossed around here a couple of times. Being still relatively new, the memories of that fic are still fresh in my mind (as well as some of the tears.) I'd say I'll stop reading this one, but unfortunately for me, I've started this and now I will have to finish it.
Wow, that was amazing. Yes, the plot of a pony dying is overdone, but this writer managed to bring a fresh look to the subject. It was absolutely heart-wrenching and I want to read more.

Damn me I can't take the title seriously
B^U
The most depressing part of the whole story is the fact this kind of death could ACTUALLY happen.
If its Rainbow Dash, I will track down the author and beat the fucking pulp out of him.
Otherwise, ill run screaming into the night.
What a very depressing story. Even though I didn't like Rarity doesn't you can go and kill her off.
Why do people write these things...? Someone i knew died in a very similar manner. don't want to spoil it for anyone so i won't say anything more. But, why?
originality? i think not, this is maybe the 5th fic this week (at least on fimfiction) that did the whole "when one of the elements is killed, how will the others cope and continue on" blegh its stupid
@LostSaint72
Sometimes it's meaningful to the author themselves, but usually it's because author either wants to practice writing characterized emotional prose. Or the author needs an ego stroke and wants to write something that people will say affects them.
How come Rarity Lives isn't on here?
@Marvin Martian
My thoughts exactly
So many mixed responses :| I'll air read it to get the gist of it
soooooo if a very young and healthy rarity dies of cardiac arrest how the hell hasn't pinkie not died from diabetes/heart attack/food poisoning/sugar od?
Why does Rarity have a heart attack out of nowhere and of corse the doctors screw up and kill her and they just say, "we're sorry, we accidentally fatally under dosed some medicine into her system and she died, well, that's enough grieving, back to more killing, I mean trying to help." Next chapters I can expect this: Pinkie becomes Pinkamena, Rainbow Dash is depressed and suicidal with guilt, Spike shoots himself, Twilight becomes apathetic and cold, Fluttershy is alright and simply remembers Rarity, and Applejack leaves Ponyville and goes to Manehattan.
please continue on this..
Well, after seeing Suited For Success and Sweet and Elite again, it does seem that Rarity has a pretty stressful life, and then there's Sweetie Belle. But when she died at the end, that was the doctor's fault.
@derpy dash typhlosion
Lack of constant stress. Pinkie's generally pretty carefree. Plus, life's a bitch. Amy Winehouse died at 27. Keith Richards is still alive and kicking. Explain that.
@ANIME
They can do whatever they damn well please with her. After all, how are you gonna stop them? You gonna disapprove at them? Woo, effective.
@Heavybull
Just because something's been done before doesn't mean it can't be done well anymore. That's stupid thinking.
Not to mention, nobody's holding a gun in your mouth and making you read it. Certainly not the author.
I thought that it was well written but the death did not seem right. It was too reaistic which I did kind of enjoy because it made it seem more serious than sewing her hoof into the machine and dying of blood loss. Just an exampe.
@derpy dash typhlosion
Because Pinkie dieing of diabetes was a completely different story.
I read too many Sad pony Fics today. I think I'm Done reading today. Now I'm going to have sad dreams tonight.
Ok... That was sad. Really, really sad. That was high school athlete dies two days after the big game kind of sad. These things happen.
I'll be looking for the next chapter.
@pony_twilightsparkle
Maybe this is MEANT to be serious?
Oh, and tears were shed.
Not manly. Figure THAT one out!
I just recovered from chapter 3, and now there's a chapter 4? Madness!
...I was just about to go to bed, too.
It's really sad and made me cry multiple times, but I really love this story so far. It's giving me ideas for art too.
I've never cried at fiction before and this is no exception. But it came real close. And what's worse, after reading this I found out about a disaster in Italy in which three real people died, and I was sad for this.
Cupcakes filled me with rage, ponies make war: disbelief. But this, it's just so sad.
Tsk tsk, so many negative comments. I find this fic both very well composed and extremely satisfying. Oh sure, I do cry A LOT for the sufferings of our protagonists, but that reflects the emotions "illustrated" by such a talented wordsmithing - I know for some readers it's hard to "see" our beloved ponies suffer, but the approach and application is wonderfully writ. Thanks for sharing this with us.
What Sparkill said
Eh, for me I just lose all interest in any story where the Mane 6 are no longer a cohesive group.
Also, now that Rarity's dead, I'm guessing they have around 1 year to find a new embodiment of Generosity before Discord breaks free again...
This is such a beautiful story. I have been crying in almost every chapter. I'm really looking forward to the next chapter. I really hope everything turns out ok.

Finally caught back up with this. Quite a roller coaster you've got here. Especially 6 and 7.
And while the Bittersweet comparisons are inevitable, I'll hold them off until it is completed.
That is sooo Good I was crying for most of it... But I loved it soooo much!! <3 plz get chap 8 out soon!!! I was dying when Fluttershy did that !!! O.o
The 8th chapter just came out, and Spike is still in Canterlot!
Just a lovely story! Thank you for sharing it! Though another tale ends and yet another part of me dies, I am very happy to have enjoyed the time spent amongst such stirring prose.
