Schrodingers comment may or may not be first
FIRST
Also, interesting.
The name makes me think of the Soap Opera...
This seems very interesting. Will read :)
@ Brosmashers
Nope but yes interesting
This kind of plot with the amnesia issue is overused but i'm interested so there had better be something good in there.
But I am the otter!
YOU ARE THE OTTER, WOOT WOOT. YOU ARE THE OTTER, WOOT WOOT
Why, yes, I am.
Oooh poor pony :( wish i could help him!
NOTFIRST!!
hey, could this turn into a human in equestria story?
@NotFirst really, it's come to this now?
@Ashfire it does seem to have the makings of one. When I read the description, I got the same feeling
@Nimbus Buster
heh
It will NOT be a Human in Equestria fic, I assure you.
@I AM THE OTTER
aw, adding to my 'to read' list none the less.

*sigh*
Will the protagonist have to escape monsters that he can't kill while constantly having to re-enter lit areas to restore his sanity?
at Tundra
sounds like a synopsis for a retro video game
on to the story, I like I think I would like to watch this one and all...well heres to you
why does this seem clandestine...?
Aw, man...and I was thinking on writing a fic based on amnesia as well...
This sounds interesting.
That intro is pretty good, it kept me reading on... But then i realised that there is basically uh... not much happening so far. I did think something interesting was gonna happen when you ended of with "My name was..."(repeated) But then i wasn't expecting an OC pony, and also when he finds the portfolio
That said, the flow of the story is good and using the first person perspective is great. It's just that the plot could be better... make something interesting happen! (:
I would like to say that I found this to be a very refreshing and competent take on the "OC is in ponyville with Amnesia" trope, and was approved because of it's early attempt to create a plot outside of the OC's amnesia, and lack of interaction with the mane six.
God damn it, I had a similar idea...
@NinesTempest
Ah, so you're one of the pre-readers, then?
I hate to say it, but this is kinda dull so far. Aside from the amnesia thing, there's no real conflict the protagonist faces, and everything comes surprisingly easily. He needs a doctor, and he goes and finds a doctor. He needs a map, and he goes and finds a map. The most difficult thing he's done is getting a job, and all that really required was him saying "pretty please."
Hmmm, liking it so far... not much conflict to keep super interesting but I trust that'll come later, especially with the plot hook of the two strange fellas and their carriage that Pinkie saw.
If I could rate this, I'd say 4 stars for now.
So, the plot thickens.
"Aside from the conflict, there's no conflict!"
"Aside from the interesting things happening, there is nothing interesting happening!"
Oh well, at least they're still not as bad as Youtube comments.
just finished chapter 2, the plot thickens, keep up the good work I AM THE OTTER!
From the first two chapters this seems interesting enough to me! :)
As for the most recent release -
Hm. I don't know that much about google docs, but I'm gonna go ahead and guess that you can change the settings so that readers don't need to log into their google account just to access the most recent chapter, eh? ;)
I have a feeling this candle will do something big im my opinion.
It didn't go off after the day of trip into Everfree Forest, so that candle is saying something.
It's looking like Steel Tempest might actually be Candlelight.
I'm reading this, and I'm seeing Total Recall.
@keairan
To be completely honest, the two are similar. But, I hadn't actually watched Total Recall until a couple nights ago, partially because your comment made me curious. However, the story behind Guiding Light was developed quite a while ago - about a year prior to me seeing the film. So in case anypony tries to accuse me of ripping off the story, or trying to label this as a Total Recall crossover, it was not intentional. I did not gain inspiration from anything or anyone else, this idea was completely my own, and the similarity is completely coincidental.
