It looks like a good amount of you want to keep seeing these. There is still going to be some quality control (Dropping the entire FiM Storybook intro scene/sonic rainboom all at once for example is going straight to the mooon!), but matching scenes to music correctly does have it's own charm.
Really it all depends on the person. I honestly can't get enough of stuff like these, but to others, a simple one is the most entertaining.

Writing stories, photoshopping story images, and now PMV? I wouldn't be surprised if he beats me at figuring out how to draw ponies next.

I think the storybook scene or the rainboom scene can work if used correctly -- they shouldn't be automatic disqualifiers for PMVs. An absolutely fantastic PMV that uses both is the Cosmic Love PMV:

The were all more simplistic but pretty nice little PMV's.

This is just what I needed to clear my mind from the last post. I did enjoy it, but I needed something a little more upbeat to cheer me up. And this fit the bill beautifully.
#1 One of my all time favorites. Now made better by ponies. Twilight's dancing FTW.
#2 Such a cheery, upbeat song. The ponies threaten to push it into sugar overload.
#3 So funny. Especially with Spike cutting in about midway through the song.
#4 Another one of my all time favorites. It's almost as if it was meant to be combined with ponies.

The first (HoofLoose) and second video (PMV - Hot Air Balloon) were nice, both accompanying with the pieces of music that fit well in the scenes from the show. Despite being simple videos, they were both great in their own rights.
I might have to pursue to checking out both of the music pieces more further from the respective music artists. :)
Meh, I thought that My Favorite Things would be that one where the girl sings about coc- I MEAN TOOTHBRUSH and the boy sings about vag- WHY THE HELL DID I WATCH THAT FREAKING VIDEO IN THE FIRST PLACE
