Not too surprising news, all in all, considering that Hasbro is a toy company, but you guys keep sending it!
Apparently some of our favorites ponies ranked up in the top 10 Google searches of "fastest rising toys of 2011". You can find the aggregate data from Google here, if you want to see the fine-grain detail of what was popular when, but it looks like the pegasus ponies are winning.

Apparently searches for "cupcakes" were so abnormally high this year that Google thought it significant enough to mention in their blog.
I'm almost positive I know what a lot of those searches were actually looking for.

Hey, it looks like everyone else makes the same capitalization mistake when typing Rainbow Dash's name as I commonly do!
YES!!! black ops lego FTW. and, you know...fluttershy too. just had an epic idea. fluttershy, pinkie, rainbow dash and Luna as the zombies characters.
Fluttershy = takeo (both don't talk much)
Pinkie = nikoli (both are random)
Rainbow dash = nikoli. (both are cocky)
Luna = Rictofen (both used to be evil. rictofen=[ nazi. luna= evil dictator)
then just lego-ify the whole shebang into CALL OF CUTIE- BLACK CLOPS LEGO EDITION!!!
