That particular monologue is inspired/taken from one of my favourite episodes of Star Trek: Next Gen. Q comes in the Enterprise and basically transports the ship to face the Borg. I wonder how the Mane 6 would go when put up in a similar situation - perhaps Twilight would admit she needs help.
I don't think people grasp the gravity of the 4th wall breaking. It wouldn't just be characters from this show. It would be an invasion from every. Single. Cartoon. In. Existence. And I'm not talking about the good ones. I'm talking about the cartoons nobody wants to watch. *shivers* So, kudos to the beings that are able to restructure the 4th wall every time it breaks. You help protect us from the characters that nobody knows or cares to know.

In less musing news, I quite enjoyed Discord's little monologue there. Intelligent, witty, and in character for him. He's such a fantastic villain.
