Seth, normally I don't give a buck about your typos and/or weird grammar errors (Celestia knows I make just as many if not more). 99 times out of 100 I can figure out what you mean, and with all the work you put in keeping this site running, and me happily drowning in ponies, I can easily overlook the occasional misspelled word.
Disclaimer out of the way, please clarify about the 'box pony' thing from the European McDonalds. I can read your comments about them in a couple of different ways. The first is to take what you wrote verbatim and that the pony toys aren't ponies but some sort of freakish half breed between a pony and a Happy Meal box. The other has me think you typoed and that they have the normal ponies as toys, and just used a really... creepy? Weird? Let's just say messed up picture of them as Happy Meal boxes for the advertisement.
Please clarify? While the first option is scary, I'd rather be a bit sad for the European bronies than have my brain all confuzzled, especially just a few scant hours before a new episode. Thanks!

Huh, anther site that put MLP within the top ten memes of 2011. The top meme lists seem to be almost identical from site to site with little variations here and there and of course MLP is on all of them. At least all the ones I've seen so far.

The SA Brony Meetup was incredible, and we were ALL impressed at 60 people showing up, we were expecting far less. Go South Australia!
As for the fic survey, I tossed my vote for Silent Ponyville and for all time, The Silent Shore. Was torn between that and Past Sins, since I don't read much fanfic anyways, but I could see myself reading Silent Shore more than once. It's not too long, has great atmosphere, and kept me interested. And if you happened to miss that post, I do recommend the read

It'd kind of suck for me if the FiM and Pokemon promotions went on at the same time... HOW'D I CHOOSE JUST ONE? I probably should've just bought the Pokemon set when the toys were out in the US because I ended up with THREE Oshawott and a Zoroark... gave two of my Oshawott away.

Well I was in McDonalds just today and the toys weren't ponies, so those toys aren't in Ireland anyway, which isn't that surprising as the show has never aired here.

That's not just any fence. That's the CMU fence. It has more layers of paint than any other object in the world. And now, one of those layers is Ponies.
DAT CARNEGIE MELLON UNIVERSITY PONY FENCE. I was wholly surprised that I recognized that fence in the photo even though I don't go there; just familiar from my time there for a summer program a few years back.

@sellyme Thanks for clearing that up. I didn't know whether SA meant South America, San Antonio, South Africa or South Australia. I was leaning towards San Antonio.
I looked at the Happy meal part of the Belgian Mcdonalds site and right now the promotional toys are Puss in Boots figurines (Chat Potté, which is strange, I thought it was le Chat Botté, but maybe that's taken on a sexual innuendo). Does this mean parts of Europe have already missed the Pony Happy Meal wave? It looks like Germany is also promoting Puss in Boots, not Ponies. Check out the animated Happy Meal box on the German site.
