Part of me hopes it's just one MLP character who ends up winning (My personal pick being Pinkie and Dan, though I wouldn't mind it being Optimus and Discord either). I'm just not a fan of a total domination from a single series (I'm looking at you Saimoe 2011). Then again, the other part of me loves Pinkie and Discord so much so if both of them win (And they probably will if the previous rounds have anything to say about it) I'll still be happy.

Actually, it helps Optimus. Consider an example:
Let's say Pinkie had 100 votes and Optimus had 50. Total, 150 votes, so Pinkie is 66% and Optimus 33%. Voting for each 5 times each yields 105 for Pinkie and 55 for Optimus, total 160 votes. However the percentages are now 65% for Pinkie and 34% for Optimus.
Of course since there are a lot more votes than that the effect is very small...
In conclusion the only time there would be no effect on the average is if both had the same number of votes. However, it would have the effect of making it harder for the next persons votes to change the average. 8-B

@SssonicYeah, but a publicity stunt still has its effects. In this case, MLP will have the most publicity. Not that this is a bad thing, but once the two choices are announced, they either have to announce to the viewers that MLP is their best show (I'm sure a good portion of the show is younger males who probably hate MLP like we did) or just throw the whole thing under the rug.

At the time I post this both vote tallies were 12% to 88%. I can say I am a long time Transformers fan to, but the contest is nice. Really, Optimus isn't nice. He's heroic, gruff, and sometimes slaughter filled. It just doesn't compare to a pony that just wants to see you smile and would spend a day to see it in an ocean of party streamers...

Applejack is awesome. Definitely agree she's the level-headed 2nd in command of the group. I think she gets the least favorable response from a lot of people due to her being the most "boring": she doesn't have magic or wings and the other earth pony, well she's a special case.

Time to put in my votes. Pinkie's got this in the bag. Now as for what was said at the top, I'm afraid I disagree. Every one of the mane 6 has qualities that make them who they are. I don't see why Applejack should be shuffled to the bottom. If anything, admire the fact that she's a hard worker, level headed, and definitely someone I think any of us could count on if we were ever in a bind. Just my two cents.

Why doesn't Optimus Prime get any love? I apologize if this hurts anyone in any conceivable way, but what does Pinkie Pie, the Element of Laughter, have over Optimus Prime, who is hands down the embodiment of all that is good? He is one who is willing to put his very life on the line if it means protecting only a few sentient beings. That alone in my opinion is more than whatever Pinkie Pie can do alone. Transformers: Prime is a simply fantastic show, and even though I'm a brony I would highly encourage others who haven't seen it to give the show a chance.

I have to say that at the start of this competition, I wanted it to be Megatron vs Pinkie Pie. They were already crossedover in some capacity twice in the singing commercial and the detention commercial. I wanted it to be my favorite shows from the Hub facing against eachother. However, that woman from GI Joe won against Megatron and my hopes were dashed pretty much from the very beginning. However, having Discord as a second choice pick is nothing to be sad about and I voted Discord all the rest of the way without much regret.
