Music: Of Great And Powerful Things / Friendship is Symphonic Metal
Time for some ROCK. Pretty much every version of it too! First off, we have a full ten minute Trixie power ballad, with custom lyrics all the way through. Second is some Octavia, because Cello+Rock=Pure awesome. At least that's what Apocalyptica taught me.
1.) Of Great And Powerful Things
2.) Friendship is Symphonic Metal - Suicide Notes (Octavia's Theme) ft. Bagpipe Brony
OK, first one sounds good, but it's a lot darker than I would imagine for Trixie. She's just full of herself, but that song like her sound like the pony version of a Satanist.
When it comes to Symphonic Metal, I would definitely recommend Nightwish. In fact, they just released a new album a couple days ago.
As for this actual post, I very much like it. The first on isn't exactly my cup of tea, however, you should do more rock posts, Seth, and definitely more symphonic metal :3
@Jelfes Oh yes, if you've never heard any Apocalyptica then you need to go listen to them. Even if it's just one of the cover albums, though, know that their original compositions are much more dramatic and amazing.
if you take suicide you wont know what happens to the pony's of Equestria.. Yeah not so willing now are you? Jokes aside nice music (heard better but still nice). :)
Might be a bit off, but I recommend Korpiklaani for those who like the second one there. More Folk Metal than anything but definitely good. Great fan of Epica, Nightwish, and Kamelot so I loved it.
@Andech *squee* ... *rageface* How in the hay did I NOT know about this? For the past half a year, I kept hearing that it wasn't going to be released until sometime later this month or possibly super early next year. Now, I see that it released last Wednesday? THANK YOU for mentioning this; I will be buying it Wednesday when I go to work! :D
*mumbles under breath about how Within Temptation's The Unforgiving released under his nose, too*
These were both tremendously fantastic! But I think I've fallen in love with the second one. It's now a fixture in my playlist. If I had to give one small critique it would be to say that it ended a bit abruptly, like the fade out should have lasted just a little bit longer.
But that certainly doesn't take away from the performance as a whole, and it's just all sorts of shiverworthy goodness.

Symphonic metal? Well, that's certainly something new for me, but it's rock, so I'm sure I'll like it.
That sounds pretty sweet, time to listen.
Symphonic Metal? Do want!!!
There both interesting but not really my kinda thing.
Symphonic metal? Yes, please.
#2 was epic! If that's what Apocalyptica plays, then I'll just have to go listen to them.
As a huge fan of groups like Kamelot and Epica, I read symphonic metal and went "HELL YES!"
Nicely done.
Synthesize Metal with Symphony?
>Yes
No
Symphonic Metal added to inventory.

Second one is pretty cool.

Nightwish is meh. Seems like they try too hard sometimes to sound midieval. Like the guitar lines in that second song though.
I demand MOAR!!!
Rock on, my bronies!
Love these!
Symphonic metal is the best :D
but i'm glad to see something other than electro here. Don't get me wrong, i don't mind electro but i was starting to get tired.

... Symponyc Metal.
Dethonator is awesome as always.
My Little Pony: Friendship is EPIC edition.
Two instant adds to the YouTube playlist of great pony epicness.
Squee! Really good stuff here, love the first one...and the second one... they both deserve more credit than I can give! :(
Where's the Becoming Popular remixes? Do want!
Yay! Good music! And: YES APOCALYPTICA!!!
this kind of reminds me of the trans Siberian orchestra. i love then, and i love this.

First one was quite interesting as well.
@Andech Thanks for saying that. I didn't even realize they released it. Was looking forward to it, and it sounds like their best yet.
I love symphonic metal, but the drums in the second seemed a little off to me. I'm not saying I didn't love it, but it was...different than expected.
That music is eye opening. I love the vocals in the first one. And symphonic metal is always an instant win.
Oh, it's Dethonator. <3
Awesome as always, even though this can't beat his Element of Slaughter. :3
I love the first one. :D Second one was alright. Not my kinda music.
Dat 1 ending... oh dear...
classical fan :D BOTH in my i-pod... Great job guys! My sincerest love and tolerance may be bestowed upon you
#2 is what makes me love this fandom.
I want one of those christmas me pics lol.

@Andech *does further research and sees that the album doesn't release in the U.S. until January 10th* Hey, Spike, a little help here?
Spike: *sigh* "Fine." *ahem* "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"
1. Wow, epic length is epic! Really well done!
2. Solid performance!
#1 is okay, the vocals aren't as good as I'd hoped. It's also dark. And I like dark.
#2 was terrific!
