    1. I don't see what the first one really has to do with ponies.

    2. A song to commemorate the Holidays, and John Lennon's passing.

      R.I.P John Lennon.

    9. I literally fell out of my chair when this came up on my Twitter. For the first one, I couldn't help but wonder what John Lennon would be thinking right about now. In my opinion, a clever take on an old favorite. And I liked the use of that picture of the CMC. I think the first one was simply brilliant. The second one isn't really my kind of music, but it was good enough that I listened to the whole thing.

    10. She did totally scam it off him. I was disappointed. First lying, then seducing.... she's moving to the bottom of my list quickly.

    11. I don't think she really scammed him off. I think she was just genuinely intrigued by the rare gem. Besides she treasured it as a gift and it seemed obvious that it wasn't just the beauty of the gem but also the sentiment behind it as a really sweet gesture of Spike.

    12. To be fair, it could be considered at least partially her coy way of saying she like Spike. It also gave her a pretense to give him a kiss. Furthermore, she kept it around her neck because it meant a lot to her (and kind of looked like an element of harmony necklace, to boot). I personally can cut Rarity some slack.

Also, this gives me an idea for a fanfic that I'll probably never write about the 7th element of harmony that was previously unknown: Love.

    13. Rarity is the honey badger of the Mane 6. She takes what she wants.

    14. @ponydoraprancypants lets not forget Spike

    15. Its really and stand of, what side are you on deal. Honestly it really just matters what side you look at it. If you take into the bad side, you see how she used his crushing on herself, to her gain. Though near the end, with the scene where full grown Spike sees the gem, she says something like "My spikey wikey gave it to me." Which to me means that she did not take it for her self. I would dislike her more if she used it for a dress or something for sell, but I mean come on, she is wearing it as a neckless. Thats just my intake on the whole thing. Dont know if some of you will agree.

ANYWAYS back to the topic at hand. The second one was not my cup of tea. Though it did wake me up, speaking of which I do need to be heading to bed. Anyways, I really liked the first song, if I had the tools to download that song I would, and it would go on my Ipod. And then I would finally have some pony content on their. I am going to sub that guy right now.

Though the real song was much better, sorry but I have to admit, then again how could it not be better. As the saying goes, art is only popular when the artist is dead. What a great night, hahah. Night y'all.

    16. Hey, totally unrelated, but...is ponycountdown .com just showing a blank page after loading for anyone else?

    17. I don't see it as scamming him. She gushed about it every time we saw it, so she was obviously truly thankful for it. He might have been helpless to resist giving it to her, but there's no evidence that she took the gift for granted.

And she did call him a "hero" for merely stopping himself after he abducted her, trashed Ponyville and went on an epic crime spree of theft. That alone is pretty generous in return.

    18. I don't know. I'm kind of conflicted on Rarity. She didn’t OVERTLY take it but it sure sounded like a guilt trip but then you have to consider she seemed more upset by the fact that he was going to eat it rather than use it and you also have to consider that after he did give it to her it’s clear she treasured it. I’m more curious about how they handle their relationship from here on out.

    19. Psssh, even in the background at Spike's party, Rarity was still sitting there looking overwhelmed that Spike had given her the gem. And then she went on to talk about the gift for the rest of the episode (which mind you, spans a week of time). She definitely didn't take the gift lightly. Besides, which do you think Spike wanted more? The gem or the kiss on the cheek?

      ReplyDelete
    20. Well, Rarity did finagle the gem away from Spike...but that's what saved him in the end. The memory of her gratitude and affection undid his greed. :) I thought Rarity was splendid in this episode.

      ReplyDelete
    21. And honestly, I really don't even know that she was trying to get Spike to give it to her. It seemed more like she was just flabbergasted that such a gem was going to be eaten. Hence why she went back to the conversation with "Did you say delicious?". Then going over and telling Spike that she hopes it will be as delicious as it is beautiful was just her coming to terms that it was going to be eaten. Perhaps my mind is just going out of it's way to defend Rarity, but that's what I get when I watch it.

    22. Haha poor Cereal Rarity has taken a hit to her reputation these last few episodes. Also love the first song!

    23. Of course this becomes more about people bickering over Rarity's integrity and such thahn the music. sigh. Anyway.

First one was pretty nice. Pony Holiday songs, yay! And a good ponified parody song off a good classic John Lennon song.

Hadn't even heard the original to the second one before hearing this one. lol I like this version too. Sounds good.

    24. Mother of Celestia, it's all toilet sounds!

...I keed, I keed. Stellar job, actually.

...and damn, Rarity's becoming more polarizing than Tim Tebow! LoL.

    25. I think that someday, DJponiver will get really popular. One of these days, he'll be as well known as mic or tombstone.

    26. Oh, please, Rarity is best pony and the last few episodes have only strengthened that point.

    27. 1. Very suiting.
