I'm not worried about fanon. This will bering more focus and detail to stories to be created int he future, and those that don't comply can do the usual "alt" story method.
Luna Eclipsed didn't kill Luna fanon
Sisterhooves Social and Sweet and Elite didn't kill Rarity fanon (people STILL love Simply Rarity as a beautiful piece of alt world fanon regardless)
If anything... Hearth's Warming Eve will refine and detail the canon to a point where fanon can thrive. Those who choose to adopt will see more strength in their work, and those who don't... Meh, who cares!
I still LOVE the fics Paradise and Celestia's Notebook. I certainly hope that they continue without interruption. On a Cross and Arrow has established that this fanon has WELL accepted the multiple Equestria's concept, and I won't let what happens in Equestria Zero affect my enjoyment of what happens in all the other little fanon Equestrias! :D

I have to wait till Sunday night to see the episode because of my friend X-mass/Birthday Party on Saturday and I have work on Sunday day.
