Humble Brony Bundle Highest Donation Ever

If this fandom crashes and burns in a year, at least we left an epic legacy! The Humble Brony Bundle has topped the all time Humble Bundle charts, bringing in a whopping $6500 so far, not counting the last bundle's  $1700 bucks.

As always, check out the Brony Bundle main hub here!

Sometimes stuff like the Ponyarchive response makes me ashamed to be a brony.

This?

This makes me so very, very proud to be a brony.

Fantastic work, guys!

In my opinion, it's things such as this, people working together for a common cause to help others, which shows this fandom at its very best.

WAY TO GO BRONIES ♥ :3

As I've said before, people can say what they want
about the brony community, but we put our money where
our mouths are! Way to go everypony!

I'm actually wondering about this fandom...

Without going into too much detail, I think that the fandom will never truly die, for it has reached into nearly every aspect of... Well, everything.

I've had enough of the doom and gloom. It's time for a party! Lets have some cheer and good will and maybe a rainbow will come out of all the dark clouds.

I'm white knuckling this fandom. You can take it from me only after prying it from cold dead hands.

Why would the fandom crash and burn?

Crashes and burns in a year, you shouldn't think such dark thoughts you know.

If the sonic fandom can survive a decade of no good games coming out, we can survive 2.5 seasons of our show (and it's not even a guarantee that will happen).

Don't forget there will be direct to dvd movies as well.

Also yay charity.

Hmm, gotta spread the word a bit! ->

Great! I only hope that we could be as supportive to our own people like those behind PonyArchive.

It really makes me sad that so many people care much more about some random game producers about who they most likely didn't even know before reading about them here, than actual members of community.

And yes, I'll be bitching about it for much, much longer because I met those people, they are great and they are the victims here.

S008 said...

@Maquabra It seems that their best interest isn't the same as the community's best interest and we, as a whole, cannot protect both.

S008 said...

Covertly, somepony's really worried about the fandom crashing and writes his concerns into a seemingly joking sentence in a news post.

@Maquabra

Support charities VS Support a group who, lets be honest, support piracy and who got really butthurt over it when told to stop.

Gee, I don't know what to choose.

Palladinium said...

I don't know when and how the fandom will eventually wither and die, but I am sure of one thing: that the ideals this community brought to me are, and forever will be, my philosophy.

I love you all guys :)

"Crash and Burn in a year?!" Why would it do so? Show fandoms have survived on far, far less than what we've got. Look at Browncoats, there was only 14 episodes of Firefly, and they managed to get a movie made! We've got at least 3 seasons to hold on to. Or Sonic fans (I've been a fan of Sonic games since I was 6, so I've had a hard time there!).

As long as people still remember FIM methinks there will still be bronies. And the world will be better for it.

(reposted because I'm an illiterate fool who can't seem to type today :P )

I know how this fandom could crash and burn. What if Justin Beiber publicly announced that he "secretly watches" My Little Pony:Friendship Is Magic and Ponychan, EQD, brony Facebook/Twitter/Tumblr/Youtube pages become overwhelmed with Beliebers thinking his secret obsession is cute? An infiltration of people that "Don't get it" would be THE WORST POSSIBLE THING!

This makes me really happy. I mean, you hear about Notch doing these types of donations, and think "Yeah, but he's rich, so, whatever."

Well, that's probably the wrong way to put it. It's incredibly generous of Notch to donate what he does, and it's all for the same cause, and that's amazing in it's own right, but this, this is a bunch of people on the internet, whom society deem as weirdo's for liking a little kids show, all banding together, to better the lives of others who are less fortunate.

Bro-hoof's all around, guys. Way to go! :)

@asdhero:

Support piracy? You can't "pirate" something that isn't a physical representation. Copying files without paying would be considered unauthorized reproduction, so please stop using such a derogatory word.

First off, not everyone uses itunes, not everyone likes drm-encrusted media. I don't use itunes, I WON'T use itunes. The dvds have not been released (and they are going one at a time), so I still feel that ponyarchive has a legitamite purpose at this time. I'm sad to see it go, but also sad to see them basically give the finger to Hasbro. I'm also not impressed at Hasbro for using lawyers to solve their problems. Pretty nasty if you ask me.

I've already pre-ordered my dvd because I want to support MLP and Shoutfactory, but I can't force my decision to pay for something on somepony else either.
And as articles have pointed out, when a brand gets released, it's no longer under complete control of the owner. Hasbro has been pretty chill about us, but they need to be more responsive towards us instead of giving the cold corporate shoulder.

If the fandom crashes and burns in a year, it'll be a phoenix style burning, gearing up for round 2. If the series is discontinued, the fans will more than make up for it. We are an avalanche on a mountainside that has no valley in sight below... Stopping is not an option!! /)*(\
