The colors of the ties are almost an exact match:
blonde(Pinkie), blue(Rarity), white(RD), orange(AJ), pink(Fluttershy). There should be a brown tie, and Twi's tie shouldnt be red.

The poll lies, yes, but the truth is Rarity and Fluttershy are tied for best mane.
#1: Even though this is just a collection of character portraits rather than a cohesive drawing, it's still terrific; each one is perfectly cast as a '40s Hollywood character, none more so than Twilight Sparkle and Spike. (Too bad the artist couldn't work in Gilda as Gilda...)
#2: Fun fan art for Fighting Is Magic. (And appropriate alliteration!)
#6: This pic works largely because the artist made sure to display the personalities of each character; I especially like the touch of Twilight removing her sunglasses with magic.
#7: I'm... really not sure what's going on with the costumes, aside from Doctor Whooves' being inspired by Gallifreyan robes from the TV series, but I like Derpy's glasses, and I love how she has one wing draped over the Doctor.
#8: It's just a simple image of two friends shopping, but it works very nicely; I'm particularly impressed with all the work put into coloring all those ties.

But as for the poll I think it's pretty accurate, I mean not my favorite, but come on a rainbow mane is just awesome, and Rarity's mane defies gravity. I personally really like Fluttershy's so long and pretty. Heck if you ask me Twilight's mane might be my least favorite, I mean I definitely think Pinkie's mane is better. That only leaves Applejack, and I think I even like her mane better it has a nice blond color and I like the long ponytail. Twilight's is cool too, the colors are nice, but not relative to the others.

Nice to see someone else caught that! First thing I did when I got that weapon was name it "Mr. Mailbox" and pair it with my Pyro googly eyes. It was pretty epic.

90,000,000 hits, during the longest night of the year, and I got 12 wonderful custom figurines from Gryphyn Bloodheart. The only thing lacking is what to call Luna's longest night holiday, and for the night to look like Stinkehund's Ponyville Night (#16) where I live.
I also like uc77's small princess Luna lifting the gigantic moon in RISE LUNAAA (#20) and the lovely Art Nouveau style Fluttershy print by hezaa (#26)
There are many other beautiful works of art this round, but those three meant the most to me.
