What lack of sea? The globe they showed in the last ep had water on it, so presumably there are seas somewhere, other than that there's no evidence for or against seas.
REA is the Royal Equestrian Army. Air Force would be REAF. Navy would be REN, or RENAF if naval aviation is a separate service.

I prefer to think that the bulk of the Equestrian armed forces is an airship navy crewed by all three races, supplemented by pegasus aviators. Ground forces would be marines for surgical strikes. There's really no need for a large land army given the innate air strength of most of the likely foes: gryphons and dragons. Earth pony marines could handle diamond dog insurgencies. If there is an army I'd guess it's more like a reserve force or national guard.
Maybe we should get Seth to ask the artist, buts it's not really worth arguing over, enjoy the pics for Celestia's sake.

Airforce can be spelled as one word (check dictionary.com if you don't believe me :) ), therefore the A in REA can certainly be the single word Airforce.
Makes much more sense seeing as the pony appearing is a pegasus.
That assumes Celestia put Equestrian in the name of airforce. She could use the example of the RAF, which is Royal Air Force, which doesn't specifically mention the country. That would allow A for army in another acronym such as REA or EA.

I agree, REA is army. Traditionally, A is for army and AF is airforce, to avoid confusion. If REA is airforce, then wats the armys abbreviation?

British Army doesn't even use an abbreviation.
If the source of this picture says it's army then it's army in this case.
That makes the image even more confusing, a flight capable peg, sitting on something that can easily be confused with a naval gun.
Maybe their RP site has a unified military with all capabilities under the name army. There's no reason they can't do that.

Blues has been one of my favorite background ponies for a while, and it saddened me to see not many people liked him as much as I do. And I don't care what you say that Octavia should be with DJ-PON3, Blues deserves a shipping partner, and what better mare than Octavia?

And about #27: Have Octavia and Vinyl Scratch always been shipped together, or is that a more recent development? When I first joined the herd back in August, it seemed like whenever I saw those two drawn together (which was fairly rare), they were always portrayed as arguing over music, and certainly not as friends (much less lovers).
#1 woulda have been perfect if that were a Stallion with RD and not a mare. I do not condone or even tolerate lesbian RD portrayal. maybe if there were 2 RD in that pic and the one under the mistletoe had a off color cutiemark then it would be fine because then the one under the mistletoe would be the evil lesbian twin. but as is I don't want to buy one of those posters or even save the image.

I'm not the only one upset about that image. And I know it's a joke and I am pretty sure it's an insult. A joke made at someone else's expense. "Anyone who aren't attracted to cartoon ponies aren't men." I would've been okay with this if it actually made sense.
Yknow, it's kinda like that feeling you get when someone teach kids that Columbus discovered the Earth is round.

If the former is true calm down, like I said the man club thing was a joke. I didn't tell anyone to cut off any part of their anatomy. I think the guy I directed it to got the joke. Besides, think about it for a moment. the joke was on me. I was saying I am attracted to a cartoon pony pole dancing.

Hey, no. Gay rights is cool and all, but I just feel uncomfortable yknow. I guess it's kinda what people say about religion or bronies, etc. "It's cool as long as they don't shove it up my face."
I support gay rights. But that's not the point. Is it really necessary to add it into fiction? Does it takes a serious approach and really explores the topic, or is it just to light some kind of weird shipping fuel?
Also, I have every right to say that I want to avoid yaoi porn and that I really hate them. But that's obvious anyway.
Well as far as the show goes I seriously doubt any of the main cast will ever be allowed any type of romantic relationship, seeing as the target audience is like 3-9 yr old girls. So it's only in fanfiction you can see any type of romance play out. And please don't get upset. I never said you didn't have the right to dislike yaoi. I just said I disagreed with you. Any way I don't think writing a fanfic were two same gender ponies end up in a relationship is necessarily shoving pro homosexual messages. It's just fans being fan obsessed with their fav chars.
