Crazy Art Stuff: Octavia Wall Painting / Christmas Light Rainbow Dash

This is the most badass wall painting ever.  I still have that desktop in rotation on the main computer.  I can't imagine how long it took.

And below, we have some Christmas light Rainbow Dash, again, really well done.  All those lights...

damn, when I get a house or place of my own, making a pony christmas light decoration thing will be one of my top priorities during christmas season!

Ben Gibson said...

@General_Rex yeah I don't doubt that the missing wall would go completely unnoticed!

Tried to think of MLP christmas song to explain my joy for Rainbow Dash light.

Couldn't do it :(

Christmas and ponies. A perfect match.

The Octavia image so reminds me of "The Great Red Dragon and the Woman Clothed with Sun" by Blake.

How much for that wall?

Baron said...

That is some complicated wiring. I don't think anyone short of a master electrician could have pulled that off.

@Baron
More like that's a fire hazard :P

@Renfield

Precisely what it's a parody of.

Excellent work there.

i liked the RD light but i think its kind of easy to make when you have that pic to work with so i dont think you should throw money at him/her in hope to get it =P

but to sad its not mine Q_Q and the one on the picture is the one who made it (not the walls owner).

I'd really like that Octavia on my wall... It's amazing! Congrats to the artist!

@Jimperator
I looked up that painting, and I think the Octavia pic's resemblance is coincidental - the posing is superficially similar, but there doesn't seem to be any real connection between the two. There's no mention of that painting anywhere on the original dA page.

Oh wow. Someone actually made a real large version of that wallpaper. I love that piece. So strong and such a great idea.

The lighted Dash is really awesome too. So very much wire, dang. lol Looks superb lighted up.

I'm unfamiliar with the source art.

It looks like an earth pony with a debilitating case
of horn AND wing envy.

My wife and I recently bought a house, and we've been trying to figure out what to do with the large wall in our living room. As a suggestion, I showed her the Octavia wall painting.

She was not amused.
