Anyone else go back and watch that episode of Futurama wishing Luna really would skip by in the background. Sad part is if the episode had been made today, she probably would :P

Actually, Celestia used the Elements of Harmony on her to get her on the moon in the first place. Considering the Elements are what made her take this normal haired form, it's possible she was initially like this while she was trapped on the moon, and just became Nightmare Moon again when the seal broke and she could use her magic again, etc.
But I'm pretty sure she wouldn't have been happy either way, as cute as this video is.
@dragon51116 some laws of physics simply dont apply to ponies (ie. pinkie pie, rainbow dash, others i cant remember now) and this is just another one of those
It always bewilders me that people literally show Luna ON the moon when she actually just became part of it.
Celestia is more cruel than trapping her sister on it. She turned her sister into a part of the moon in a state of vegetative consciousness at the whim of her sisters push and pull every night.
I'm not too sure. Simply because if Celestia was able to convert her sister to normal she wouldn't need to banish her to the moon. I always thought that since Celestia and Luna both had the power of the Elements of Harmony Celestia was unable to use them to their full potential to heal her due to no true "harmony" being used between the two, resulting in the banishment.
