I'm seeing a lot of projecting going on. Whether projected on themselves, thinking it makes them a pedo, or projecting on others assuming that they're up to no good by subscribing. I think a lot of that has to do with personal feelings/fears about yourself and/or others. And making assumptions of that magnitude is never a good thing.
I think it's awesome to have a way to show our support and appreciation.
^^ Even if there may be some projection going on, the real reason is another one. We pretend we're a homogenous community but we're really not. This "fandom" comprises a lot of very different people who see very different things in the show. The common denominator are the ponies themselves. "Brony" therefore is really an umbrella term. And everyone is a bit afraid, and probably rightfully so, of others tarnishing that term.
I'm subscribing because it'll be fun for her to see her subscriber numbers jump by over a thousand overnight. Also because the possibility of Minecraft Lets Play videos was suggested.
She's been posting videos for a couple years now, the YouTube thing is just recent. I have noticed people associated with MLP do tend to have a more public face then most.

There are half a ton of comments like that already on her account and video, trust me she don't another one, they are just as creepy as creepy posts only there haven't been any yet that I've seen
I know someone is going to post Sweetie Belle R34 on her channel, it's inevitable. Unfortunately, some try really hard to make the rest of us look bad. I hope she's internet savvy enough to know this is nothing out of the ordinary, trolls on the internet is just a fact of life really.

I subscribed!!...i don't see what the big deal is...just subscribe n move on. look at it as a way to support sweetie belle! (it's not like you HAVE TO watch her videos or keep up with her youtube) it doesn't seem like creeping to me...
As others have pointed out already, her father is a voice actor and knows the industry and, I'm sure, all the fandoms out there. I'm quite sure she's safe and that her parents will be smart and supervise her internet activity. Come on folks, give her family some credit here! :)
Besides... the world is what we make it. If you dislike the fact that the internet isn't safe or clean, then let's start making a difference by being different ourselves. I have faith that the Bronies will be responsible and continue to help restore my faith in humanity by being civil, courteous, and respectful to her. Maybe the internet will be a little bit better off because of it.

I'm willing to continue making the internet a better place. Judging from what we've all experienced online, it's feeble, but it's worth a shot. Bronies seem to be one of the very scarce fandoms who "usually" don't lack morals.

I'm seeing a lot of projecting going on. Whether projected on themselves, thinking it makes them a pedo, or projecting on others assuming that they're up to no good by subscribing. I think a lot of that has to do with personal feelings/fears about yourself and/or others. And making assumptions of that magnitude is never a good thing.
I think it's awesome to have a way to show our support and appreciation.

^^ Even if there may be some projection going on, the real reason is another one. We pretend we're a homogenous community but we're really not. This "fandom" comprises a lot of very different people who see very different things in the show. The common denominator are the ponies themselves. "Brony" therefore is really an umbrella term. And everyone is a bit afraid, and probably rightfully so, of others tarnishing that term.
I'm subscribing because it'll be fun for her to see her subscriber numbers jump by over a thousand overnight. Also because the possibility of Minecraft Lets Play videos was suggested.
