November Albany Meetups
Saturday, November 12th - Laser Tag and Board Gaming
The "Albronies" Meetup group is getting together at noon on Saturday, November 12th for a great afternoon and evening of laser tag, gaming, and of course, ponies! We'll meet at Zero Gravity, a laser tag and arcade place at 1240 Central Avenue, Albany, New York. The fee for laser tag is $6/person, but plan on bringing extra for what you want to spend at the arcade and at lunch and dinner. We have quite a collection of awesome board games, but if anyone has anything they'd like to contribute, they're more than welcome to bring it.
Zero Gravity is accessible by the 1 and 905 buslines in Albany, and carpooling is also available.

Then carpool to Cane Creek Park for the run.
Details: While we're calling this is the running of the leaves, you do not have to run. Consider it voluntary competition.
We're going to Cici's afterwords for lunch.

Pony Sweepstakes in France
Some crazy sweepstakes is going on in France to win a trip for six to a a place called "Center Park". That is the direct translation at least. All you have to do is answer "Who is the rainbow maned blue pony". I'm assuming its not supposed to be difficult.

Instead, ya'll were all "Hey, we're meeting 30 miles away from the city and we have some potato chips and we're gonna watch a episode and we'll have you tazed if you so much as think the word 'cupcakes'." Bleh. Lame-o's.

I still need to pick up that Pinkie Pie ornament. Haven't even seen one in person yet. I remember looking for them once or twice, but they were out. Good to see them being sold in more stores now.

Judging from your translation, the sweepstakes are for a holiday at Center Parcs, a European Holiday Camp-ish-thing chain. Not exactly a stunning prize, really. May explain the agonsingly simple question.

the price is a stay in one of the bungalow parks from a company named "center parks" not going to a place named center park, they have loads of bungalow parks near sites of interest and nature, most come with a spa and swimming pool too.

It's 'Center Parks'. I've been there, it's pretty damn awesome, especially if you take some friends with you.
Hey ponies, I got two of these Ornaments at K-mart the other day as Toy's R Us was a no-go. They are in the greeting card section, mine was on an end cap. The K-Mart ones did not come in a box, just a cardboad holder.
Also, heard you can get them are Carlton cards as well.

@Takata Because all such things are easy. A) It's designed for kids, and B) there are laws in Europe on holding raffles. You have to put in a question to be exempt from them, which is why there's such an easy one.
Back on topic, Centerparcs is a chain of holiday camps across western Europe. They're pretty alright, except when one is being drowned underneath a fat man on a lilo.

Oh finally a pony group for SC2! I've been having a ton of trouble finding any pony groups for games I actually play, so this is nice. Other than that, seems like everything else is happening on other parts of the world...
