I love how we all come to EQD all day to look at cute ponies hugging. I've been trying to understand the brony phenomenon for a while now, and I really think it's a "new earnestness" backlash against the hyperviolence and brooding melancholy that pervades 99% of male entertainment. The ponies are very affectionate and they care about each other and take care of each other, and that just warms my heart so goddamn much and makes me feel good all day. I wish we could be like that in real life but nobody trusts each other in the real world.
