I almost stopped filming when she said she didn't like cameras. But I did ask before the Q&A if it would be ok. You can also see how nervous/excited I was when I got to ask my first question because the phone starts shaking even more then before :P

Why did the audience make such a fuss about "brony fan material"? Most fan stuff is awesome not dirty.
She seems kind of above the fanbase. Like...to her it's another job, whereas to people like Mrs. Faust, this kind of thing is what they have a lot of pride in. I dunno, it's just my opinion, but she didn't seem prepared for questions like the ones she got.

What you seem to be taking as a arrogant aloofness is much more easily recognizable as nerves. To add to this, she is obviously making an effort to get more in touch with her fans, what with the new additions of Facebook and Twitter pages. Give the girl a break.

Andrea Libman seems genuinely really nice and is making an effort to reach out to the fans now she knows there's a fanbase out there. But coming out to another country on your own for your first convention ever (and it's a solo keynote Q&A) must be pretty nerve-wracking

It definitley awkward at times but still a treat to see what Andrea Libman looked like in person.
I think the whole thing could've been so much better if the questions were prescreened, like it was Presidential debate.
I mean you have the voice of PINKIE PIE & FLUTTERSHY for a set amount of time, you gotta make the best use of it. I hate when someone asked a question you knew she couldn't answer.
A seasoned convention pro like Tara Strong would be able to take a awkward or open question and make a joke or something but not someone like Andrea Libman.
Oh and we need some security guard bronies with big clubs to discourage fapping or any other inappropriate questions at BroNYcon.

Everyone going to BroNYcon take note. If you ask her to say a specific Fluttershy/Pinkie line from the show odds are she's not going to remember it as it's been like 3 years since she did the line.
Just ask for her to say something random like the Fluttershy GPS question.

That was great! I didn't expect for her normal tone of voice to sound almost exactly as her two pony characters she roles. But she's more fluent to Fluttershy and I still can't get over the fact that she can also play as Pinkie Pie. She's also seems like a nice person to be around with.
I was applauded by a certain question which, under any circumstances, should have NOT been brought up when asking questions to the main role of said character. It just devalues the community.
I love the amount of hatred going to whoever asked that question at 15:20 :P
I'm fairly certain that at this point if she'd paid any attention to the fandom (which given bronydom I'm fairly certain she'd be curious about) that she'd already have known anyways. She didn't even seem surprised. I found it absolutely friction' hilarious that someone had the balls to ask that, TBH :P Though the rage the person who asked is going to get is althemore funny.
But hey, bronies turned DJ PON-3's 3 second clip into several hundred thousand pieces of art work. We naturally take everything too far :P

I'm fairly certain that by now the show people already know this kind of thing. Screw it, people on Lauren Faust's deviantart page made it well known. Plus, when asked, she really didn't seem that surprised... I'm assuming they already figured it out, since they're probably curious about bronydom. (Not every day you get near/over 100'000 teenagers/adults watching a show about My Little Pony) So I'd assume they've looked around and figured that kind of thing out if they ever bothered to browse art...
But meh, who knows? I mean, if the people who do that kind of thing ARE the minority, we really don't have THAT much to worry about. If they're a significant portion... Then as sad as I am to say it, won't that be an accurate representation of us? I personally wouldn't want them to know anyways, but if they know, I'll laugh at the way it was presented :P (I.E. the person who asked in here)

I think the saddest thing about the brony community personally is that so many on the one hand give out platitudes about love and tolerance and then on the other talk about how the asker at 15:00 should hide for a week and how they wish that she would die in fire.
So far as as the rest of the interview goes I get the impression that she is a shy person who doesn't think quick on her feet.
Still bitter that I couldn't go...

@DJB123 People don't take to kindly to stupidity. "Love and tolerate" is something that isn't followed to a tee everywhere. Reaction is typical for a question such as that.

I would TOTALLY buy a voice package for a GPS with Fluttershy's voice. I think I would intentionally get myself lost just to hear the voice more. I think it would do wonders for one's blood pressure while driving. :D

Pretty cool. Her normal voice is noticeably different from the voices o her FiM characters. It's still high-pitched, and her "Canadian" accent is more accentuated. She also sounded awkward at times, kinda like how Fluttershy gets.
The quality of the camera, coupled with the fact that we've never heard her speak in person before, must be why hearing her normal voice is kinda a shock. Either that, or she can make her voice sound very different when she's doing voice acting since she's that good of an actress.
Someone has to record Bronycon's Q&A as well, perhaps at a quality higher than this. It should go more smoothly since Andrea won't be solo Q&A'ing this time around. She'll be answering with Nicole Oliver as well, plus security will probably be tighter at Bronycon. Andrea will probably be more familiar with her fans by then, too, so she might know what to expect.
Yeah, I think this was a good way for her to get a feel for the community, for the most part. It wasn't to big either, so she should hopefully be a bit more at ease at bronycon. And someone better record it, since I can't be there.
This is so awesome...well except for that one part that I'm trying to forget. We are getting to all the MLP VA. I think one of the main ones left is Tabitha St. Germain.
