Heard of DOTA(a mod from warcraft 3)? It's pretty much the same thing, but it's free(doesn't require warcraft 3 to play it). I think that'll cause a rage fest because all the LoL players I know deny it being like DOTA when it quite clearly is. Anyways, the description of it that I would give is the following. Start with a hero of choice, level them up in the current game you're in and eventually topple the enemy teams forces. The game isn't an MMO.
No, it isn't, Dusty. League of Legends is what they call a Mopa, or something. Basically, you control what you call a "champion", this is the same with all other games of this genre. You have several teammates (usually four to six), and your job is to destroy something of the enemies. Whether it's a Nexus, a Tree of Life, it quite doesn't matter. The point of the game is that you have a champion, you have abilities, your job is to kill the other champions and destroy their base (one way or another). There are minions that you can farm, and you are able, once you kill champions and minions, to purchase items and become even more powerful. I just played twelve games of it, it is an amazing game that deserves a try.
Known games of this genre are League of Legends, Heroes of Newerth, Defense of the Ancients (DotA) Allstars, and several others. There are loads of elitists and jerks in DotA, please do not judge League of Legends over DotA. Heroes of Newerth is a replica of DotA, whereas Riot Games of League of Legends insisted of moving away from DotA; making their own champions, own attributes systems and many more modes.
You view it like an RTS, simply you control one champion. Just uh, second. Let me grab a link.

There are lots of jerks in DOTA, can't deny that, but you can't also deny that they are very similar, simply pt, they are. Maybe not picture perfect, but the inspiration for LoL was seemingly DOTA(not saying that literally, I don't have the facts on what inspired LoL, but DOTA is the only clear candidate). The goal of its creation was to make a not shitty DOTA.

What you don't understand is that it's a -genre-, called Moba. A moba is exactly whta I said in the previous post; it's no different than saying World of Warcraft is a clone of any other MMORPG out there. It isn't, it's of the MMORPG genre. You've got a hero, you level up, you kill guys, you get gold, you dont' enter "games", but it's one or several huge open worlds.

@Jefles, LoL was made in part by some of DotAs creators, so it is more than just inspired by DotA.
LoL is more of a "sequel" to DotA so to speak. (Basically DotA 2.0)
One of the previous developers of the original map combined forces with Riot to make it into a bit more casual game. The learning curve for DotA is incredibly steep, and is one of the reasons for it not being more popular than it is. LoL is the same maps, and the same basic idea regarding supports, tanks, supports and such, only in a more noob-friendly package.
DotA (And HoN, which is a DotA clone with nicer graphics) have notoriously bad fanbases. Its like 4chan, kinda. LoL isnt quite so bad, but far from perfect.
@Zamoonda Making assumptions I don't understand the genres; I'm very familiar with game genres, I develop games, and have spent multiple days finding and studying each genre.
You seem to think that I'm saying it's a clone of DOTA, it isn't, what I'm saying is that they're extremely similar.

Guinsoo developed DoTA, then left the project to Ice Frog and started developing LoL for various reasons, among them being frustration running up against the limitations of the Warcraft 3 engine. League of Legends is for all intents and purposes the game Defense of the Ancients was supposed to be, that of course being a better version of... I believe it was Aeon of Strife that was the fist MOBA.
In any event, as similar as all MOBAs look, they all have extremely different feels to them, as very fanatical players are wont to tell you if you broach the subject with them.

I think Twilight and Lux (oh now you know where my screen name came from) would make awesome friends. Both are nerds, persue the studies of magic and are patriotic to a higher figure (Twilight to Celestia and Lux to Demacia).
So going to read this, I already had plans for my own fic, although it would've started differently.
But I have bad follow through when I do anything other than gaming, so I doubt I would have been able to get far in my fic.

I've only got one issue so far and that's the fact that the author made Nasus an Earth pony. Why isn't he a Diamond Dog? I mean Nasus' joke was "Who let the dogs out?" so you'd think he'd at least turn into some sort of canine.
Now to convince the Riot staff to create Epic skins for all six of these champions. I'd buy the Nasus one.

After reading what you have so far I have a couple of opinions.

Mane 6 far too trusting. Yes they're friendly, but I really doubt they'd be so instantly ready to let random strangers (especially one with a sword) stay at their houses just like that.

Chapter 2 has Swain thinking of Elements of Harmony even though he had only heard of Element of Generosity just a second ago. No knowledge of there being more or anything about it being related to harmony.
I feel bad for Riven. Shes stuck with a guy who almost killed her, and ruthlessly murdered her team, and the near leader of Noxus in the state she hates.

Excellent chapter as always, though there was the occasional slip-up with grammar, or an extra quotation mark at the end of sentences. Still, Trevor is reading this story for the plot, not for the grammar! XD

No. Because the only similarities between League of Legends and DotA is the Classic map. (read: LoL has other maps)
It's like saying a crossover from WoW is no different than a crossover from Aion, Warhammer, and so on and so on.
The crossover is about the lore of LoL, which DotA has nothing thereof.
I'm really digging your personalization of these champions. Not only are they realistic, they're what I'd imagine them to be. Hot-headed Ryze, dim-witted but good hearted Ezreal...
Especially that Swain. I hate him, but he's such a genius. Well done and cannot wait for more.
This is a very impressive story. Ezreal comes off as a little too reckless and boasty, but overall, I like the personalities very much.
Riven is without a doubt my favourite champion in League of Legends, and her personality is just like I expect it. Nasus' role as well as his personality are both very well done too.

Beautiful, I thoroughly enjoy the way you portray the villains, very economical, especially Singed (who happens to be my favorite champion in LOL) and how his lack of ethics is not evil so much as he is very determined and focused on his goals will overcome any obstacle to get them, for SCIENCE!

Yes I do. Not now, of course, I'd really like to see your approach first. There are two major ideas worth writing about: Ponyville as a Field of Justice and MLP cast at Summoner's Rift. For instance.
Also, I still recommend you changing this image on top of the story's page, it doesn't explain the crossover.

Great writing and very interesting story. The special thing about this story though, to me at least, is the characterization of the characters and the fact that the only LoL story worth mentioning is a FiM crossover. Very original idea you have here, and worthy of the 5 stars I am giving it.
If only Swain weren't so cleaver, he could have trusted Discord and ruled over Equestria as General Supreme, why go back to Runtera when it would be so much easier to conquer this realm. T-T

4.7 stars. Y'all are great, y'know that? Keep your eyes out for the final chapter in this little saga.
I feel like the last chapter was made the way it was just for the sake of trolling Tropers, lol. Throughout the whole chapter I kept thinking "unspoken plan guarantee means that it won't work" right up to the point where it worked, lol.
Ch14: Is this going to be one of those horribly misguided aesops where the warrior is told not to kill the backstabbing murderer? Because that means the murderer is free to continue murdering people.
So Twilight went into Runeterra, and possibly the other Mane 6 as well. But why change them into (indeterminate race, possibly human)? There's a tree, a cryophoenix, two void monsters, and a bear already, what's wrong with a pony/horse?
Cause of plot! Nah...I figured, if going through dimensions changed the champions into ponies, then it makes sense that doing the reverse would change the ponies into human. Kinda the universe's way of maintaining its own continuity.
Good addition once again, I hope that you do something with Discord, maybe gets a better hold of his powers and learns to control the chaos completely by given it back a little at a time?
On the subject of humanized ponies:
The League already has a unicorn/human hybrid... Soraka. She has hooves for feet and a horn so I don't really see why Twilight and Rarity couldn't become whatever Soraka is. Rainbow and Fluttershy could just become angels ala Kayle. And Pinkie and AJ... would just be regular people I guess (as regular as Pinkie can get).
Great ending indeed, with a good twist.
I'm just gonna comment the ideas of how "humanized ponies" could work in Runeterra: Unicorn horns Soraka-styled are not a good idea, generally. If we follow the rules of multi-dimensional conversion, wings and horns should go off. I wouldn't see much wrong in lore about Twilight with horn, as the second "starchild", but still horns on humanoids do not look pretty.
I think we all suspect same scheme:
Twilight - ability power-based crossover of Soraka and Kassadin. She will definitely make use of her teleporting blink.
Rarity - next mage that I think may follow the Taric's style of gemstone magic. It would be hilarious to see her summon Spike just as Annie summons Tibbers :D
Rainbow Dash - Loosing wings doesn't mean losing agility. Also, Sonic Rainboom. I think she may be just the opposite of Nocturne ;)
Fluttershy - Pretty much self-explanatory. Fluttershy is just Kayle without the flaming sword, taking care of her friends. Combat may involve using The Stare as a stun, just like Cassiopea ;)
Applejack - She kicks (Ali), she has a rope (Blitz), she has apples (Malzahar ulted me, but then I ated some apples and it was k :D ) Offtank/tank.
Pinkie Pie - New best friend of Shaco and Fiddlesticks. Surpsrise Party Team, assaulting with cake, Party Cannon, bloody jackinboxes and the almighty crowstorm.
I bet 90% of LoL players have the same idea ;)

I'm not sure the amount of introduction is necessary for each character, and when was this written? Because shortly before the televised match, Swain became the leader of Noxus because Katarina and Cassiopeia's father disappeared

Okay so from the immpresion i got from the first chapters of the second story I think that you shoul describe the envirnments a bit more. It worked in the first story because equestria is so familiar but valoran doesn't have that kind of fandom. Also I would like to see more off the ponies impressions as they encounter the world because i think that is hilarious even if it's a bit cliche. Otherwise i think the premise for this is even better than the first story :D keep up the good work :D

League of Discord is probably the best fic I've ever read, so keep it up.
Why no Demacians? They pick 2 Noxians and Singed who's loyal to Noxus and hails from Zaun, but no Garen, Xnin Zhao, Galio, Lux, Vayne or Poppy? I can sort of understand Ezreal since he hails from Piltover, which would match up with Singed from Zaun, but Ryze has no city state allegiances, and neither does Nasus
And to those trying to match the Mane 6 to League Champs, Rarity would OBVIOUSLY be Taric, the GEM Knight

Alright. Pinkie has GOT to meet Kennen. For real. Two walking power plants worth of energy? It would be AMAZING, a little hectic, but amazing!
Also, book two is looking to be a huge improvement over book one. BUT! ... You still have a problem that existed in book one: TIME. Gauge the time. I had no idea that Ryze trained those unicorns over weeks, the story made it sound like the entire ordeal took place over 8 days or so. Maybe it's because I binge read chapters 8-15, but I still see it in book two. Just a little advice :o

It ain't just you. To be honest, I have a really wonky perception of all things time-related, and it kinda bleeds through in my writing. Half the time I'm not even sure what day it is. Anyway, yeah I did notice the problem starting to creep up again. At the time of chapter 4, excluding the end, they've been in Runeterra for 4 or 5 days, I think. I'll have to reread what I've written and get a solid chronology recorded so i don't lose track.
Also, expect links to FIMFiction with chapter 5.
My god I have been waiting for the second story to come out and so far it doesn't disappoint. Though it would be awesome to have the Mane 6 meet with other champions and interact with them (squeed a little when Applejack met Lee Sin) what ever you can produce would be great!

All those little references to the game itself such as lane comp., the announcer, CS, and ganking just made this story so much more awesome to read, not to mention some subtle hints to the more effective Ryze builds in the game. However I'm kinda disappointed Riven's wingblades didn't suddenly extend out with runic energy in the battle. Everyone else used the ults at one time so I can only assume that I gleaned over the part where Riven used the pony version of hers. Also did anyone happen to catch what Riven's cutie mark was? I must've missed that like an idiot as well.
@Jelfes you do know that the people who made DOtA made LoL right? that's why they're so similar of course they're not the same LoL is drawing away from DOtA and building on it whereas from what i hear HoN is a much closer replica to DOtA

I google searched League Of Legend My Little Pony crossovers to see if there actually was a fanfic already made (I planned on writing one). I've sat here for 5 hours and I've read everything, this is probably one the best crossovers I've read, and there's no way I'd be able to match it. The intricate descriptions of everything from Spells, to how Summoners actually work to appearances of champions and the world of Valoran, it's all flawless. I feel educated on a game I've played for nearly a year as well as amazed at yet another work of brilliance of this amazing fandom. Nice work Ghosted, I'm eagerly awaiting the latest chapter ^^
