@Bombedrumbum Haha, well, I've said it before, ever since I got Google Chrome I've archived nearly every post in my favorites and organized them in their appropriate folders, it makes finding good old posts like that one easy to find.
When I first saw Rarity in the pilot I hated her, I thought she was just a overused stereotype, but she slowly won me over as I saw the various aspects of her personality so that now she is my favorite pony!
I didn't like Rarity's actions in Dragonshy, but the other episodes of her won me over. (Basically the other three that focus on her. Something I noticed though is that for many episodes, she only says a few lines. For most episodes, she's always busy. :o
Those three would be Dog and Pony Show, Suited for Success, and Green isn't your color. :D
As for Sonic Rainboom, her intentions were good in the beginning, but she got a little carried away from the attention. It happens. She apologized so it's all good. :)

Argh, curse my sound card for choosing this night of all nights to throw a temper tantrum! Though I suppose I can still watch the videos for now, hm~
But anyhow yes, Rarity really does need more love. After all who doesn't like marshmallows? Especially elegant, sophisticated marshmallows with a flair for the dramatic, and not to mention delightfully subtle neurotic tendencies. <3
@Jelfes I like how your comment was exactly... No minutes after the video posted. Dude, you listen to songs really fast. They sound a lot better if you hit play, and not fast forward.
Well, its pretty easy to get the general idea of that song after about 20 seconds of listening to it, I don't expect it to go from what it was to Metallica part way through the song... and guess what? It didn't!(Surprise, surprise!)
First one was good. Good song choice and the video they made for it was done pretty well. I liked it. :)
Second isn't ba... oh goodness, Kesha. lol Well, the song is okay. Not a fan of Kesha myself for the most part. But can't lie, those types of songs seems to fit Rarity rather well. :P The video matched well and again, was good.
And the third one... title says it all. Dat bling. lol Which we of course know, Rarity fancies quite a bit. So this works too. Video was pretty good.
I think I can spend the entire day watching videos with her in it and never get tired of her. She's too awesome. I can't wait to watch Episode 5 now. I really don't know what episode I'm more excited for X3
Hey everypony SuperCartoonAddict (aka, creator of number 3, Rarity-Bling Bling!) wow just wanted to say thank you everypony!!! I never thought one of my PMVs would get such positive reviews, let alone be on EqD :) so once again thanks from the bottom of my heart!
I'm not surprised that Rarity ends up being at or near the bottom of internet popularity polls. If you split the results according to the voters' sex, I bet dollars to doughnuts you'd find that Rarity is the least popular pony among males, and the most popular (or, in some polls, second-most popular) pony among females. Her character is built up from the fashionista stereotype, which is the one stereotype used for the mane 6 that's all but guaranteed to annoy most males. Which is a shame, because she's a truly engaging, complex character, probably the most well-rounded of the mane 6.
#1: Very amusing; good melding of song and clips. Great use of the Spike/Rarity dynamic.
#2: I confess that the pair of profanities really undercut my enjoyment of this video, but it was a really well-done, odd little video.
#3: Not my type of song, but again an excellent melding of the song and the clips.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE! the first one! So well-done! I do love Rarity, but she isn't my favorite character. I always adore episodes about her though, and love it when she's frazzled and stressed.

Eh...I applaud number 1, simply because it's the right mood for the song. A little too much pink, you used more than the show did, without using Pinkie Pie. I dislike the editing, that song relies a lot on the amount of time it goes on, and the slower feel and introduction of themes. Owl City has realized what makes his music so good, and almost perfected his art. I absolutely love his latest album. But I'm sorry to say that you didn't pull it off well enough to make it a good video in my eyes. Still, you went farther than I did, and actually made a video. And I know you are working with pretty tight restraints, you had to extend the intro and such because there simply aren't that many Rarity/Spike scenes. So, good effort. And good luck on future videos!

I like all the Ponies, but Rarity is definitely last.
Mostly cause she seems the most stereotypical fashionista type that likes fancy boys.
I dunno, but Rarity is pretty good. She IS the element of generosity, after all.....
although, my initial reaction to the post image was 'stupid sexy Rarity'.
The only way to get me to truly like Rarity is having these songs/videos that fit her so perfectly, here's another one that does that job well (#4)

My first episode was #16, which really put her in a bad spotlight in my view.
