Pinkie Pie was going to be named Surprise, and she was going to have wings. The pony that would've being wingless is Fluttershy.
In the end, they swapped it. I still don't know why though.

The best thing about Surprise-concept is that Lauren Faust said, that in the initial pitch Surprise/Pinkie was supposed to enter hyperactive mode after eating lots of sweets, her wings starting to buzz like those of a hummingbird.
Now this is one animation I would really like to see.
Also, Surprise/Pinkie was supposed to fly around mostly upside down, just for lulz.

Cheer up, bro. I'm the only Brony I know of in Sasebo, Japan but there's always some good folks waiting to be found anywhere you go. They don't even have be one of the herd. I made a new friend just by taking the lessons about friendship and putting them into practice. Give your friends time; they may never warm up to the show but true friends will hang by you no matter how crazy they think you are. :)

I hope that the Rainbow Dash has gone to a good owner. When you are willing to pay that much for it, I think it would be real sweet if it was like, Donated to a Hospital Children Ward or something. Would be nice to know who get, and how much he was willing to shell out for it, since I think he bidded more than $5000 initially. Someone was going to go for $10000 on it, although it was probably a troll and his one was retracted for unreliability.

If I actually had 5000 dollars just sitting around I'd have bought it. It would have sat there and been huggable whenever necessary. When I had kids it would then become theirs because that thing is just asking to be given to a child (with reasonable care, $5000 merchandise and you'd be scared too)

I was watching the ROFLCON clip... Gotta say, I'm starting to get pretty annoyed about people attributing the Powerpuff Girls (and Foster's) solely to Lauren Faust. Craig McCracken is the genius behind these shows, and deserves his props. So, as much as I love Lauren's work, I think it's important to attribute credit where it's due....

After contemplation, I realized it took about 2 and a half weeks to go from 40 million to 50 million. That means that by the time the Luna episode airs, it will reach 60. And if page hits keep going at the same rate (which I doubt. If anything, it's just keep accelerating) then 100 million will be hit by New Years. I'm going to guess that it will be sooner than that and 100 will be hit around the first or second week of December.

I bought one of the metal pins when they first came out and they're great. Great and incredibly sturdy; I think Rainbow Dash's pin has gone through the wash about three times now and it's still good as new.

It'd be awesome if Spencer started carrying pony merchandise. I relate them somewhat to Hot Topic, who already do so of course. So it's not a huge stretch that Spencer would consider pony stuff as well. I'm sure they also know of the large following and the potential for profit from it.

As a German AND a singer who did a fan-dub of that song once with-self-made lyrics, I can say without trying to sound like a dick that these lyrics are unbelievable poor. Uncreative, Unimaginative, they don't even make sense! It was hard enough for me to bear with the German voice-actors already (they also didn't use any effort here, a lotta them JUST SOUND THE SAME and not like actors AT ALL), but for everyone who still had some hope for this abomination of a dub, they should be crushed by now. Wonderful way to show how to NOT dub a cartoon, fillies and gentlecolts! *clap clap clap*
