Touchpads can be a good alternative once you have some practice, a wireless mice tends to devour batteries at an extreme rate whenever they're plugged. High-quality laptops have touchpads allowing you to perform additional actions by using more than one finger, there's definitely a way to get used to it.
Anyways, #4 enters 'What the hell am I seeing?' territory, #17 is gorgeous, #23 is... special.

Touchpads can be done well or poorly, though a mouse is better for things that need a lot of technical precision, like gaming or modelling. That said, Apple touchpads are so good that people wanted to use them for the iMac desktops, too! And thus the Magic Trackpad was born. I love multi-touch gestures, they make so many things much easier.

Re shipping: That's a good point; I suppose I've seen so many arguments stating that some minor gesture of friendship in a show about friendship is evidence of a deep, unstated romantic attachment, that I'm now expecting every pairing to have some basis in something that happened in the show.

Ah yes of course, I quite understand where you're coming from. Even though I myself am a shipper (anymore, that is... I still blame this fandom for that!), I've never been the sort that's tried to justify it through circumstantial scenes/dialogue bits from the series... that's just silly since we all know it's not what the producers/writers/etc. intended.
