I pretty much read the first 3 panels and then skimmed over the rest. No, it's not because I don't like Luna. It's because I realized that planet Alicornia blowing up and leaving only two alicorns is a freaking cool idea for the origin of alicorns in equestria.
Maybe I'm just a big science fiction fan. (Hint, I am).

I think Luna's character seems neglected because the creators never thought she would become so popular. Keep in mind that many of the episodes were completed before the brony fandom really existed.

Your toad idea is a bit wrong though, its much overrated, you may be able to jump tiwce as high but you can only go half as far and you can eat far less cake and thats never fun.
