#2: "Here comes the mashed alfalfa train" is a pretty funny line by itself, but coming from Nightmare Moon, it's priceless! I understand why Diamond Tiara is unpopular in the fandom, but it's a shame so few artists and writers take advantage of her comedic potential.
Well, now Pinkie has officially trolled everyone. And while #2 is indeed awesome, I just can't picture Apple Bloom saying that in the last panel. And if vengeance is sweeter to A.B. than Pinkie Pie's cupcakes, then I would NOT want to get on her bad side.

It was like the longest time before I realized that the mist swirling around Nightmare Moon is supposed to be her mane and tail. But she's such a great presence that I didn't give the maneless/tailess appearence much heed.
Seeing this, I actually wish NMM had more characterisation. Celestia is actually pretty bland when she isn't trolling, but NMM could have had a lot of potential.
I've always been of the opinion that Eps 1 and 2 were okay but didn't really fit with the show, but now I'm beginning to wonder if, had the NMM arc covered half the season, we could have had a really good villain.
@wackyteen Eh, I don't know. Diamond Tiara strikes me as someone who's not going to change unless something traumatic happens, and I don't think they'd be allowed to show such an event. Silver Spoon would probably mature if she ever stopped spending so much time with Diamond Tiara, but until then, I can't really see her changing either. Besides, I think it's good for the show to have a couple of stuck-up bullies around, so kids who have been (or are being) bullied can sympathize with Apple Bloom and other victims of the Sugar Bump Rump duo.

But I don't think Nightmare Moon is using the name Pinkamena to make that connection; I think she's just the type of character to refer to everypony by their actual name, not their nickname. But maybe that's just me.
