Oh heck, I'm kidding. Seriously, this is an awesome looking story with great potential. It's pretty heavily focused on Octavia at the moment, which I don't mind since she's probably my favorite fanon character, but it would be nice to get some more thoughts from the other ponies in the later chapters.
And I see you've minimized Doctor Whooves' presence somewhat, which is probably wise because I know from experience that once you start writing enough material for him he has a way of taking over the scene. :P

i like the background ponies so i decided to read it and i also like the background ponies in this story.
I fell in love with this pic since the first time i saw it, i had to check it out.
The first part of the story was fair, nothing exceptional, but i will be waiting for the rest.

Well, I hate to say it, but chapter two didn't quite live up to my expectations. It just felt a little...rushed. And there wasn't as much character development as I would have liked. Still, it wasn't bad. I love the ending with Bon Bon (though I wish you fit her in some more).

Oh pony. What is incredibly odd is that I am also working on a Bon, Octavia, Scratch, Lyre fic as well. I find it quite strange that you added the Doctor and Derpy, seeing as they duo doesn't really fit in with the quartet. Either way though, I'm interested in where this is going.

I want to like this but good god the prose is driving me up the fucking wall. It just... well, it really isn't written very well at all.

This is a entertaining fic.

It was entertaining. Some of it felt a little awkward, though.
"Lyra was a Unicorn living in Ponyville. Her talent was playing the lyre, and her cutie mark reflected that."
It would have been better to describe her cutie mark and then show her playing a lyre later than to just tell us. Maybe have Bon Bon mention her talent with the lyre during their conversation. It's always better to have other characters describe something than to just tell the audience through the narrator. This happens a few times throughout the story and I personally think the fic could be improved greatly by using the narrator less and using characters to describe each-other instead. As my teachers used to say, "Show, don't tell."
That's just my opinion so take it with a grain of salt. Other than that, I very much enjoyed the fic and I'm looking forward to more.
Despite whatever mistakes it might have, I really like where this story is gonna go.
@P1rate Maybe it's because he got, like, four lines and practically no character development, other than how he appears to now be Emmet Brown.

Anyway, this looks like it could be fun. I always enjoy reading these fanons in their own stories - with them all together, should automatically spell awesome.

...Why's everypony so happy about the bananas line? Sure, it's a witty pop-culture reference, but it comes at the price of crushing Luna's dreams of not wanting to be somewhere that actively disturbs her!

What? Do you mean the horsehair is different from the strings? Or the wood of the body different from the wood of the bow? You know the bowstring is made of horse hair and the strings are wound metal wires...? The wood of the bow is often different, as bows and instruments almost never break together, or the bows are plastic. They will not likely be made of plastic in Equestria...
'The strings themselves are intact, just the body needs to be replaced.'
'Just'...? NO. Strings are a 5 minuet repair that can be done by the musician. High-end silver strings can be 100-200, cheap can be 20-50.
The body, on the other hand, when broken, renders the whole thing unusable. Depending on the break, you could need to buy a whole new instrument, not 'patch it up'. If I was Octavia and the body broke that close to a performance, I'd cry. So much. Just sayin'.
Bases are on average 2000-6000. On the cheap end. A heavily used no-name violin can be 20-50. A carved Stradivari cello, hot damn, millions? Priceless? Octavia would have a high-end body, but not a famous old one or one with a story. 20,000-50,000... I'd also have at least two instruments, if I was a pro.
Honestly, I haven't finished. I'll write more tl;dr about instrument prices later.

That really bothered me, too. I mean, I don't even play any kind of classical string instrument (although I do futz around with the guitar every now and then), but even so the inconsistencies with the bass were really egregious and they absolutely drove me nuts.
Yeah the bow thing struck me as "DidNotDoTheReasearch" fail.
@psudopod Yep, pretty much. I will say that string players generally own one of their instrument because switching between two or more causes inconsistent playing. It's important for the musician to get to know their instrument and its tendencies, and then connect with it for years to come.
But you're right. If a double bassist leaned over and heard their bass crack, they'd fall apart in tears because more often than not that means the thing is totaled, i.e. 9 out of 10 times you can't simply repair a crack, the integrity of the instrument in both tone and construction is shot.
When I saw this image on Draw Friends, I begged Celestia for somepony to write this story for me. It has ALL my favorites (okay, except Luna) and she told she would keep it from ever happening. She's such a troll... >.>
Either way, I can't wait to read this.

Thanks for all the positive comments, guys, and the criticism. Sure, I know, I screwed up with the whole instrument thing. Please keep in mind that it's my first. I'm also trying to avoid using Doctor Whooves, trying to make him out to be a bit 'undercover', as well as some people pointing out that if I did include him more, he might take over the show. I'm going to try and improve over the next few chapters.

It's an animation called 'Friendship is Magic Bitch', where trollestia asks ponies if they like bananas. She then sends ponies to the moon after a complete nonsensical rant. It's implied Luna already knew about this (the first time she was sent to the moon), and couldn't decide, looking very fearful.
It's the animation that caused me to be interested in the show, aka it made me a brony, so that's why I put it in. Also it's a very well known animation.

Authors, please, publish your stories on an /actual fanfiction website/, like FanFiction.net or FiMfiction. They are much better suited to reading literature than DeviantArt or Google Docs; and make it easier for people to, say, load your stories onto e-readers for reading on the go.
