That looks a lot like what happened at a drilling field I was at a few years ago. A waste water pipe that was under pressure at a rupture. It rained brown water over an area within about 50 yards of the pipe.

Yet she's looking up as if there's something amiss. It can't just be something with the weather or she could clear it up right away.
Applejack is also looking particularly worried, so that might mean that whatever the problem is may have some negative effects on harvests or crops.
That brings me to the, what appears to be, brown rain.
It can't be regular rain for the reasons stated above. Which brings the question, what could be causing it? Could it be Discord, messing things up around Equestria?
The fact that there is corn does tend to suggest that this brown rain is a localized event. Were it all across Ponyville, Applejack probably wouldn't leave her apples.
Maybe somepony called for their help, and they went to investigate.
If this is Discord-related, that would put this somewhere between when Discord escaped, and before they figured out what to do. In other words, when he starts wreaking havoc and everypony is trying to get a handle on it.
If not discord, I can't think of what else this could be. Maybe Cloudsdale had something go wrong, and Ponyville is getting the brunt of it? I could see a "good neighbor" episode coming out of that.
But even then, what would the brown rain be? Maybe something went wrong in the weather factory? Maybe the rainbow-liquid got into the cloud generators and they malfunctioned?
The only other thing I can think of at the moment is that there was some kind of magic gone wrong, but the only really magical unicorn in the show at the moment is Twilight, and she has yet to mess up any magic, as far as I recall.
But wait, Trixie was hinted to maybe return in season two. Could this be Trixie messing things up around Ponyville, either intentionally or accidentally? That would fit in with the idea of magic gone awry.
Anyway, those are all of my thoughts at the moment. Make of them what you will.

Dash did something to the plumbing and now there's a geyser of liquid mud showering across Ponyville and out into the fields.
So she goes to Applejack, who for some reason, abandoned the orchard for a day to farm the fields. Together, the two of them concoct a story to blame Twilight and her lack of control over her magic for the problem.
I'm pretty sure this actually is AJ's farm, given that you can see an apple tree in the background right above her head. At the very least, they're probably close by.
What I'm more curious about is what the heck that big ginormous tree on the left side of the frame is. It's too big to be an apple tree, and I can't imagine why a trunk that big would be in the middle of a field to begin with...
